Honestly I think the fame of the tank man has overshadowed other scenes of the incident and people often don't realize just how bloody it was.

Better than asking a dentist is asking a dental hygienist. Dentists are dental surgeons primarily concerned with solving specific problems with surgical intervention. Hygienists are oral health nurses concerned with preventive care and overall health and wellbeing.
And listen to your hygienist. There is no cure-all toothpaste for everyone (eg not everyone needs anti-sensitivity toothpaste, the risk of erosion in whitening toothpastes might be a concern for some people, some people need higher fluoride concentrations, etc)
Mr Bean for English class is so fucking funny. "Surely the show with next to no dialogue will teach them English"
Male is the sex that produces the smaller gamete, female the sex that produces the larger
Will it? Facebook/instagram did a similar thing in response to the Online News Act by banning any Canadian news links and in my experience people blamed facebook not the government

Even if there was something to learn I don't want anyone digging up my grandma. If someone's descendants are saying "Don't do that to our ancestor's grave, it's disrespectful in our culture" then you're defiling a grave.
Anyone know what the first known case of 'bug' exclusively referring to Hemipterans/Heteropterans? The first use of bug being applied to arthropods was in the 1620s in reference to bedbugs (in Hemiptera but not Heteroptera) with the term ladybug (not in Hemiptera) first attested in the 1690s. Both predate Linnean taxonomy. So why and when did entomologists decide to coin this highly restrictive definition? It's a very English-language term so it surely wasn't when the taxon was created by Linnaeus.

The fruit flies you've seen eating fresh fruit are probably Drosophila suzukii (spotted wing fruit fly). Most (all?) other Drosophila species (including the model organism Drosophila melanogaster) only feed on rotting fruit. Though they'll consume the sugars too, not just the microorganisms. So standard lab diets include sugar along with yeast and often cornmeal.
There are also some more distantly related flies that feed on fresh fruit and are commonly called fruit flies, eg Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly)
