FTFY

edit : ooooh the wee St Petersburg trollies are tryin’ ta tryin’ ta ain’tcha!

News flash, responder-guys: if you’re even humans & not the AI bots who took most of your colleagues’ jobs, you’re still always be undervalued by your bosses. They’ll never, ever save you: they’ll save their Teslas and stock portfolios instead. Your life kinda sucks and there’s nothing you can do about it AND YOU CHOSE THIS LIFE, DIDNT YOU. Free yourself. Quit this shit job and go back to school before it’s too late.

This is a collect call from: MOMCOMEPICKMEUP IMOUTSIDETHEHELIOPAUSE, do you accept the charges?

FTFY: Demonstrably unimpartial, conservative-stacked, publicly bribed court* rules in favor of the people who gave them money, to ensure they get more money.

Pissed off people vote more (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

Photo of Rita Moreno in Stephen Sondheim’s West Side Story, singing the song “America”. Rough translation: You gotta vote, it’s worth it, if everyone votes, PRicans gonna save it

Hope posting feels like the best thing to do rn

Same. Per the article, the structures being destroyed have asbestos in them from when they were built; this is the cause of it being released

Edit: I’ve never before seen a comment like the reply to mine here below that was so clearly made by an AI bot

THE ONLY WINNING MOVE IS NOT TO PLAY.

  • the best advice an AI ever gave (too bad it was a fictional AI)

Ok I’ll explain like you’re five. You’re wrong. It has lots of times. There are things you don’t know until you read more about them

Headline blame shifting again. THE POLICE did nothing.

We cannot deny for one moment that animals think, understand, plan, and navigate the world just as humans do.

They just can’t use language as much as we can*, & mostly aren’t as big as us. But they’re way smarter than we’ve been taught , as every farmer in history would tell you.

And a lot of modern scientists. One cognitive science PhD met once said: the closer we look, the more we see non-human animals doing things we used to think only humans did. Tiny animals, she meant. Snails. Mites. Bacteria.

Yeah it got nasty WHEN CLARENCE THOMAS PUT HIS OWN PUBIC HAIR ON A COKE CAN. True story. Look it up. I still believe Anita Hill

I had already uninstalled Creative Cloud but its zombie folder was still there. (Win11/64bit/most recent updates.) Looked for hours, tried tons, nothing would work. Maybe for you Adobe's unPinCCF tool would work, or using regedit to set System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree to 0 would - but not for me.

TLDR (thanks, Aubrey and Bortao) Delete the following registry key (after making a backup of your registry ofc):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\0E270DAA-1BE6-48F2-AC49-5CE0DBECC398

Bortao reports- "The last part of the number is random, so open Regedit and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace, find a key starting with 0E270DAA-1BE6-48F2-AC49 and remove it." Me, I found it by Ctrl-F and looking for "creative cloud files" until I landed on that one. Deleted it, rebooted, GONE.

Aubrey's help: https://superuser.com/questions/1758115/adobe-creative-cloud-removal-and-regedit

Bortao's comment in this link: https://superuser.com/questions/1642874/how-to-remove-creative-cloud-files-shortcut-from-windows-explorer-left-navigati/1652595#1652595

This is NOT the only thing that worked for other people, so I should post my notes from this long trek, maybe one of the simpler paths might work for others

Loom alternatives / help? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

Loom alternatives? Recording a demo here. Desktop app dies often, only a reinstall gets it going again briefly. (Win11, VPN or not, permissions all set, HDR unchecked.)

Web app won’t show my camera on VSCode or Git, only the Loom site. That part is vital 🤷‍♂️ so I’m stuck using the desktop app I think. (using FF mostly but tried Chromium (pls no Chrome))

Will just buying it magically fix all this? 🤷‍♂️ Thanks in advance for any ideas 👍✌️
