Honestly, the pal versions name "ratchet: gladiator" is more fitting.

As a kid me and my cousin didnt see the point of strafing\locking on. Then years later on the hd collection i found the games so much easier and kept wondeing why untill it hit me that i never used strafe untill then

the kernel versions for eos were 665, 666 and 667 its been happening on all three, happened on both x11 and wayland as for graphics driver, both the mesa and amdvlk options did the same thing over a few versions.

again the only game that did this was rise. monster hunter world and resident evil run on the same engine as rise and they run fine, lies of p worked fine, valhiem, sonic. literally only rise and it runs fine on tumbleweed.

so this keeps happening to monster hunter rise and ONLY monster hunter rise on my current install of eos.

i installed tumbleweed to test if it was only on eos and it ran just fine. no other game does this on eos just rise.

ive tried different proton versions, ge proton versions and installing on different drives but nothing changes

EDIT: well i ended up fixing it by enforcing the mesa driver system wide

apparently monster hunter rise really doesnt like when steam is using the amd driver so either run steam using the mesa driver or follow this guide to make your pc use mesa

OKAY after some frustration, i think i figured it out. this command saved me

pactl load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:2,1

hw:2 being the device id or something when i use pactl list cards

now to figure out how to change the name

OK so on windows my soundblaster x4 can output both the spdif digital output thing and the analog audio to my headphones at the same time and use the volume knob to adjust the volume of them so one gets louder the other quieter.

on endevour os nothing of the sort exists, apparently this is the way to add a profile for it. however this didn't work for me. ive also tried adding it to the 9999-custom.config but that didn't work either. any assistance?
