For some reason they look like characters from Thunderbirds.

You can put /modlog after the instance URL, e.g. https://lemmy.world/modlog

Can't say I agree with this. I've driven in France, Belgium, Netherlands & Germany and didn't really notice any difference in standards across anywhere, including the UK. The only weirdness I saw was in France where I saw drivers purposely crashing their car into other parked cars to make some space.

Other than the not using indicators thing, I haven't seen anything like you describe. Doing below 20 in the fast lane is a death sentence, unless you're in traffic obviously.

I don't think that's true. There's definitely the three classes, but many people believe they're middle class when they're not.

It's basically impossible to become upper class. I think I read somewhere that it takes 3 or 4 successive generations at somewhere like Eton to be considered upper class.

You guys put people on the moon in the 60s. You sure as hell can sort this out with enough will power and time. But instead all you offer are excuses.

Don't forget being accused of being a fascist because your favourite game is rollercoaster Tycoon.

Is there any footage of him talking on camera about it? The video that Russia released of him on a conference call is a bit sketchy due to how short it is and the guy literally doesn't move, not even blink. Could have just been a screenshot.

And this is how humans evolved to have whiskers.

Not really sure what is confusing about what I said. Russia's plan was to take Ukraine in 3 days. It's now on, what - day 566? There's no way they planned on it taking this long.

If things were going to plan these videos wouldn't exist, as Russia would have full control of Ukraine by day 3 in February 2022.

Well yeah, unfortunately when you're in a war then bloodshed is unavoidable. But it's not like they invited Russia to invade.

dominant view on Hexbear it’s that the biggest responsibility for the conflict lies with the US who created the modern Russian state, strung it along, then encircled it and escalated against all advice

I think their ideology is blinding them into creating such a narrative. Not saying the US doesn't meddle in other countries but this is really far fetched and just assumes that Russia is blameless and just happens to doing exactly as what the US wants. I don't think it's that unrealistic that this is purely Putin on an imperialist conquest attempting to cement himself in history as a great Russian leader. Not everything is about the US. Sometimes other countries have their own agendas.

then encircled it

Not 100% sure what this means but I'm guessing it's in regards to NATO? I don't think the ex-soviet states needed any US meddling to convince them to join.
