Great stuff! I've been using it on and off since you posted about it a while back. It's so good.

Separating 2fa and passwords is good practice. If one side gets compromised the other is still okay.

Blogs and small web stuff can be pretty useful.

I burnt a Windows 7 install disc about a month ago. A guy I work with found his old PC and wanted a fresh install so he could give it to someone.

I discovered Ventoy about a week ago...

Love sports. All the sports I watch are currently on the one service. Occasionally I'll go to a game but prefer the lounge room stadium.

I've moved workplace in the last few years and having sport to talk about made it so much easier socially.

I do wish the gambling ads would fuck right off though.

Playing Ghost of Yotei at the moment and absolutely loving it. Tsushima was an all timer for me so I'm happy for more.

It's a great system. Worth just clarifying that the "nominating" is just the candidate suggesting who to put which numbers next to, not actually them saying who the runoff vote goes to.

Why is that? (Genuine curiosity)

Tried dual booting Ubuntu and XP back around 2006, didn't really see the point because gaming on Windows.

2020 got a Raspberry Pi and set up Retropie which gave me a good intro to Linux. Tried to get away from big tech in 2021 and was dual booting Mint and Windows 10. Ended up spending more time in 10 because gaming.

Got an old laptop from work and it was perfect to throw Mint on because no way it was going to handle gaming. Then I set up a media server, initially with the the Pi and then bought a cheap mini for it - and ran it on Mint. I'm primarily a console gamer now so gaming is far less of a concern for me on PC. Mint everything now.

I could distro hop or at least try something else, and maybe I will at some stage. But I'm too happy with Mint/Cinnamon to bother.

I guess it's no different to a CD really. Just a smaller file on a bigger storage medium.

It's not big in an overall area sense but it's so dense that it can feel massive. Kamurocho from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games. Seeing it evolve over 20 years in real time and about 35 years in game time has gotten me quite attached too. Each new game I do a loop to check what has changed and see if old friends are still there.

Bonus with having so much in game time in it is that since it's essentially just Kabukicho in Tokyo, all that in game exploring translates to the real world pretty well.
