Just to add to this in the simplest way possible...

Hot things heat up cold things! This is not good for frozen food! Let it cool off, then freeze it.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I'm not sure you should have a Lowe's Associate as a legal advisor.

Here's Home Depot covering it

The relevant text:

Corded blinds are dangerous to children and pets. Roughly one child per month dies from blind cord strangulation, and more than 600 children per year are injured. That's nearly an average of 2 preventable injuries to a child per day. Between 1990 and 2015, more than 16,000 children were injured.

New Voluntary Standards

  • The Window Covering Manufacturers Association decided safer standards in January 2018.
  • Manufacturers adopted the new standard on cordless blinds in December 2018.
  • In 2019, all standard model window blinds were expected to be cordless.

Cordless Blinds & Law

  • Corded blinds are not regulated under state or federal legislation.
  • New, safer guidelines allow for cords on custom-made coverings.
  • Per WCMA standards, custom cords should not be longer than 40% of the window height.

I have a feeling the big impact is going to be in other services, namely AWS. Makes me wonder if some new global outages are coming, which are always fun to deal with.

I spent $10 at the door to see Deftones (mid 90s or so?), a friends band was opening for them.

I want to point out, this was after adrenaline, so they weren't an unknown here - they were headlining. Now its about $200 for the same venue (just checked).

$10 in 1995 is $20 today for inflation. That $200 ticket would be $100 in 1995. There is no way I would have paid $100 in 1995 to see my friends OK band, even opening for the Deftones.

I think you're absolutely right. I don't know that I will ever even be in a realistic position to take my daughter to go see Taylor Swift without it being a huge birthday present or something.

They also went to the kids house and investigated, but they didn't have proof of anything that would meet any criteria for arrest, yeah.

So they discussed with the parents, discussed with the school, discussed with the police, etc. I can't say I blame the FBI here for what they were able to do based on anonymous reports about comments made online. I wouldn't feel comfortable with giving any federal agency just free reign to arrest on anonymous reports alone, that's just opening a new form of swatting to me.

But clearly, its not enough, and that's the issue. For example, restricting the access to guns would have been good. Restricting access on a larger scale would be better.

Instead... We have two teachers and two 14yr old kids dead.

The latest shows as 4 dead, over 30 injured (as of about 5 minutes ago).

Terrifying, depressing, and entirely preventable. I truly despise those who think guns are more important than kids.

Seriously.

I didn't call him a champion of workers rights.

I corrected the misinformation by exclusion suggested by the statement.

Edit: And for the record, the followup was in February 2023. Which was after the part you posted from the Wikipedia entry, which kind of matches the whole... Misinformation by exclusion part I've been commenting on.

Please don't do that.

Precisely what this is, with the added benefit (to the company) of being used as a prayer room or other various employee needs.

Converting storage to these private/meditation/wellness (corporation dependant branding for them) rooms has been very common.

How often people are wrongly convicted is the only reason I need to not want the death penalty to be used.

some of which were classified.

But not properly marked as such per DOD regulations when sent to her.
