Don't understand. Check it out where?

It finally occurs to me. When younger people complain about capitalism, it's the 21st century almost-feudal version of capitalism that they're complaining about.

The oligarchs/large corporations don't seem to stop wanting exceptional amounts of money more whilst everyday people are really struggling. I'm not taking about the bottom end of society who are double-decimated, but average everyday middle-classes and pensioners. Members of Governments have their noses in our trough too.

I understand what they mean now. Sorry it's taken me so long.

Add-on: I should add that I'm old now. I grew up in the change that was new-growth of Thatcher's premiership not the managed-decline winner-take-all that is the 21st century. I believed and I don't anymore.

god what a depressing comment I've made. Maybe it'll be better in the morning. 🤣😂

Same people install white or cream carpets just before they decide to have kids or a party.

They're no longer John's, they're porn stars. No shame necessary in this century, where OF exhibits consider themselves entrepreneurs.

This century is a fail if that's really all we've collectively created: a machine to destroy young people; a place to watch the light in their eyes fade.

Have much experience of this: boys marry their mother; girls marry their father.

Did everything that I could to disprove that old wive's tale. Failed.

My parents were not good people.

Can you use the brave search engine from other browsers? (Is it a proxy for any other search engine?)

I'm expecting a negative, but a fella can dream.

Full disclosure: currently using StartPage and reasonably happy. StartPage is a proxy for Google as far as I can tell, although I've seen people say (on Reddit) it refers to Bing too.

There's a reason they got the generic name Karens.

Like Gary (Garys aren't Karens), there aren't many around now but the few I've ever come across really were worthy of these name.

There is a truism. Will have to come back and give the original quotation author, but it's

"Only poor people pay taxes."

Rich people have the resources to evade and skirt around any tax legislation which they are supposed to be captured within. Most of them use the corporation as holders of wealth of which they have control.

Corporate taxes are almost always lower than personal taxes for that reason.

Banning billionaires is as likely to succeed as veganism.

+1

Didn't realise it used Bing too, thought it was just Google.

I watch this yesterday (on UK Netflix) too.

I really enjoy Butler films and unusually tested this two up thumbs (or whatever they're called). Some of the CGI got in the way and was just too obvious but that didn't detract for a very simple single-line plot making it very enjoyable watching.

It was somewhat like watching a mid-twentieth century film in is simplicity but enjoyable for all that.

I kept waiting for that 'Mercan to kick off and cause a couple of innocents to die but it didn't happen.

Would recommend.
