For $700 they could at least throw in a 4k Blu-ray player.

Then again, I ponied up extra for the disc version of the original ps5 for that exact reason, only to find out the media player software is a giant piece of garbage that was clearly given no effort. So I can't say I'm too surprised.

Ha! It took me a minute too to realize that having to google WTF a skibidi toilet is was the Millennial test, not being expected to know it.

Finally, a sterotype of "millennial" that recognizes we kinda be old now!

I'm glad my dexcom app has a persistent notification. I can check my blood sugar and rate of change with a quick swipe down rather than launching the app

Or maybe I misunderstood what OP is talking about

According to the cube rule of food, pasta is a type of nachos. I have no idea how this is helpful though.

My own 2 cents is that something like string theory is at play here... the dimensionality of the sandwich is all wrapped up in what appears to be a 1-dimensional carbohydrate noodle, but if you could zoom in with a crazy powerful electronic microscope, theoretically the pasta might actually look like a stupendously long sub sandwich.

It's all a matter of perspective.

Edit: shit, I meant to reply to Pons_Aelius... oh well.

Until compensation in the food service industry is fundamentally reworked, always tip well.

Unfortunately I think the reality is that as long as people are tipping well, there is little motivation on any party (except the customer) to rework compensation in the food service industry.

As a customer, I hate the situation. The explosion in tipping (both expected amount and breadth of jobs relying on tips) I've seen in my couple decades as an adult is staggering. But I still want my server to be paid decently, and therefore I tip decently. But it leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time, knowing that the establishment is relying on my guilt to pick up the slack in their compensation.

I dunno, this one just sounds like common sense to me.

Saying they picked their parents wisely is a sarcastic way of saying they were lucky which family they were born into, in a way that pokes fun at our tendency to attribute their success to decisons rather than luck and circumstance. The reviewer does not honestly believe they consciously selected their own parents lmao

Those communities aren't popping up here for honest discussion, it's to increase the reach of disinformation and/or trolling for the lulz.

Engaging with them accomplishes the exact opposite of what you suggest, since they are not here to argue in good faith.

I don't think anyone is advocating for defederation, just upholding some base standards for discourse on communities directly hosted by this instance. If it was just a normal rightwing sub, I'd agree with you, but defending a blatant troll/disinformation sub is getting into "paradox of tolerance" territory for me personally.

Hell, the snowflakes banned me for making a single post warning another user not to feed the trolls. 😂

I have zero problem with staying federated with instances I vehemently disagree with. But I also have little desire to stay on one that "Free Speech"es itself into becoming a safe space for trolls and disinformation peddlers.
