That's a deep reference, even for The Far Side!
On the one hand, that just sounds like deconstructed egg salad.
On the other hand it sounds gross and weird in practice, so I think this fits.
Funnily enough, every year in early July they go nuts launching Chinese-made missiles at the sky to CREATE rainbows.
I must be an idiot. When I read the title, I first thought it was a non-native English speaker asking about people who had Tamagotchis back in the day...
As in... a talking button you keep for a pet, not a button FOR your pet to use.

Weird Al wants to know your location
Kinda, kinda not.
The shitty thing about cable was that you had to buy basic cable just to get in the door, then each of the 5 most popular channels were in separate packages that added 15 bucks each.
For a short while you could access almost everything on one streaming site for $15. Then slowly it began to fragment to the point where each service in theory has a nearly infinite library, but in practice you need 4+ subscriptions to access all the content most people want to watch. So it's back to the same core reason cable sucked.
That's not how Botox works... That's not how any of this works
Can you clarify a bit?
Do you mean that they are trying to identify, corral, and market heavily to these low-standards consumers so as not to waste their time with the rest (analogous to email scams)?
Or more that they are progressively beating down our collective level of standard so as to make the cheap crap more broadly palatable?
I don't necessarily disagree with either, but they are pretty different, so just curious which direction you are going.
For whatever reason I've never thought to hit steaks with a torch at the end... My stove has trouble keeping my skillet at good searing temp, so I will be trying this next time! 🤤
My wife and I watch this at least a couple time per year and it never fails to get us laughing out loud!
I feel like there's an opportunity to work Great White into the title, but I haven't had enough coffee to work it out yet lol
"Trolling is a art" is an ancient meme. Kind of the internet equivalent of a Dad joke, which makes the downvotes pretty funny, given the comment I was replying to!
