Yud tweets: Her: I am never, ever letting you go unless I find someone 75% better.Me: Works for me.

such a depressing scenario to put into words.

this story takes place in a totalitarian state ruled by the literal forces of literal Hell

Look, I'm giving it a go but the very first line of the content warnings is a case of "is this written by a grown man or a 14 year old emo kid"

I don't trust musicians that I learn about via something other than their music and even after 4 years of knowing who they are I remain uncurious to sample any of the music they have created.

If a musician's music is never heard, are they still a musician? If they are not a musician, and not a nazi, then what are they?

Another good example is going on a first date, your mind throwing out questions about the person you’re about to meet. Then if your enthusiasm starts to fade upon meeting the person in the flesh you’ll start to feel too relaxed, then guilty for feeling this way. The tug of war has started, “I want sex or get me out of here ASAP”, priming you for post-date porn.

is that their dick talking?

Allow the commercialization of duels, side bets on outcomes, and customized sporting arenas for such venues.

Oh come on. This has to be the root of this crazy transparent skin post

sorry reminds me of this particular billboard ad that ran in Sydney. Just couldn’t make my brain interpret the “how did I get here?” in the positive sense they intended. Even the look on the girls face… it’s like sadness in her eyes. Anyway, there you go gym billboard photo of girl at burning man with tagline “how did I get here?”

"Imagine a world much like this one"

I don't know how you all muster the focus to read past these hallmarks of shit ideas

being woke is a cult and it's bad for art

What would you say to them, to plant the seed of changing their mindset from their current one?

making this - aka pilling - your specific goal, rather than something you would hope for as a side-effect of your sentiment, is a rookie mistake.

I used to enjoy Ariely's books and others like him before I started reading better stuff. All that behavioural economics genre seems to be a good example of content that holds up as long as you don't read any more on the subject.

Thought it worth sharing among so much very, very questionable material I've found in reading through the reference material of this book, I came across ths Blake Masters + Peter Thiel connection.

It's my obsession sneer because of how celebrated this god damn book is among the fight for the user UX community.

I’ve mostly been reading the material but need to back up and do an author background check for each one.
