Ooh, nice. It's rare to see another SEA-an around this part.

aligned with people who doesn't grow up with it.

Oh, yeah I agree. What I'm trying to say is that someone with an entirely different set of culture (foods) already has a predetermined set of palate of what kind of taste to expect, so even if they power through the initial smell they just more likely to dislike it cuz it resemble nothing they usually consume.

Another example i can give is smelly tofu

I would take a guess that we're probably neighbours country. I haven't taste smelly tofu in particular, but I can imagine the smell. The by-products of the normal one would make anyone gag, this one probably just straight up has the sewage aroma because of the aging and what not.

petai/stink

The bathroom situation is what makes me hate it. I wouldn't refuse if offered but never choose it myself.

So i feels like, unlike cilantro

Funny, I can't stand cilantro. I don't think I even has the "soapy" taste gene. It just taste like random grass to me and everytime I accidentally taste it I thought "this ain't human food" lol. The brain is fascinating, huh.

Are you natives?

I am, and I concluded it (obviously) cultural. We didn't as familiar with different varieties of cheese, so the stinky cheese (don't remember the name) have absolutely foul smell to me.

On the other hand, most never even questioned that durian smell is just that, durian and nothing to overcome. It doesn't register as something nasty to the point where someone who actually didn't like it usually seen as the weird one ( also cuz it's considered expensive fruit)

And to answer OP question, it tasted creamy as in dairy to me but I don't like dairy products besides yogurt so I maybe wrong.

Well, I read the title and the only thing popped up is Chester.

I always shrugged off celebrity deaths cuz it never affects me before. But that morning my then SO woke me up and I'm in dazed cuz teens me just full of angst lol and how he did it after just released One More Light is too much, I think I avoid listening to LP for a few years after that. It's also after Cornell did it not long before I think? AFAIK they're Godfathers to each other kids.

I think contrary to what generally believe LP lyrics all are Mike's. But understandable since Chester is the one actually sung it. don't think LP would be this big if they didn't have Chester, the band said so themselves (the label want to get rid of Chester at first but they pushed back).

I just wished Mike would just rename the band like Audioslaves did and leave LP as a legacy. Don't get me wrong Emily is badass.

Slay the Spire 2, you just need the mouse. And yes you can race, you can speedrun dying lol.

Indeed. Dude my main pc is just a modest last gen r7 32G with decent gpu. And I'm glad I pulled the trigger for the 16g upgrade last year.

Now I don't personally believe in higher being, but I'll be lying if I'm not nervous everytime I power up the thing. If anything breaks even if I go a tier cheaper I couldn't afford the replacement.

Taking a break from Skong & No rest for the wicked.

Playing Octopath 2 in the mean time. It's such a contrast I think I consider this relaxing game. The vanilla gameplay is too easy to cheese, not that it's bad. Though I personally find the story uninspiring most of the time, most of the dialog is so generic I just glossed it over.

The spooky Mansion sidequest is a nice surprise.

Still chipping away Silksong. Early Act 2 got 1 melody, finally unlocked plasmium from wormways because I thought using simple key for deep docks was a good idea (not).

Rasher delivery wish is a bitch. I know there's a run fast tools but have no idea where it is. Practising parry but the only mob available is grand reeds and idk if their silk attack can be parried or not (I swear I saw a video of someone doing it but can't find it now)

Risk of Rain 2

God, I suck at this.

No Rest For the Wicked

I apparently didn't like souls-like combat. The equipment weight mechanics didn't make sense and too restrictive on variety (I like glass cannon)

Contemplating picking up Borderlands 3 + dlc or Borderlands 4. (Idc about the story that much, I just like the gameplay)

We called all banana as Pisang (indonesia). Do you know which specific variety you tasted?

Region locked, unfortunately.

Finished a marathon of GoW and Ragnarok, I want more.

I planned to play Disgaea 7 or refantazio but I honestly just want more Kratos. Sindri ending is too much of a cliffhanger

I mean, I'm also old and I get what you mean, but I still feel this way on many occasions.

Games nowadays are huge, and my 50 mbps bandwidth can't keep up with today's standard where I'm used to everything happens instantly.

Also modded games are usually painful to reinstall.
