Back in music school, a teacher with tinnitus made us read the suicide note from a guy with severe tinnitus. That really put us straight with regards to wearing ear protection around loud instruments.

I've been watching quite a lot of Olympics coverage on TV, but never seen any ads. Is there an official Olympics TV channel with these ads?

Wait, is that still a thing? I've never seen cops with speed cameras outside of movies. It also seems quite overkill seeing there's mobile speed cameras too these days. Around my city there's like three that get moved every few days, alongside the many stationary speed cameras.

You're on lemmy.world and I'm on programming.dev, but we can still see each others posts and interact with each other because lemmy.world and programming.dev are federated.

For other people: 80°F is about 21°C

I work with a lot of expats who feel the same, but I still like that I can clothe myself against the low temperatures, but not for the hot temperatures.

I recently watched La chica invisible, a Spanish series. As a Dutch speaking person I quite liked Als de dijken breken, it's a collaboration between Flanders and the Netherlands about a big flood.
