jfc, would someone please dom this man already and help him get all the bootlicking out of his system in a healthy way that doesn't jeporadize international affairs.

In all seriousness though, this is sad as fuck. What a pathetic waste of flesh and bone.

Why would they do that?

I really appreciate this list and use lots of applications like this but I would find it impossible to complety replace YouTube with PeerTube.

Ehhh, I don't agree with the notion that extremists are bad. The definition of an extremist is 'A person who advocates or resorts to measures beyond the norm, especially in politics.' I don't think animal rights extremists or environmental extremists are bad because I think the norm is morally reprehensible, unacceptable and unlikely to change without a pushing that norm through extremist measures.

Agree about the cultural revolution aspect. I think another aspect of it is the widespread emigration of people under the age of 40. Many of the people who would engage in political change have been forced to leave by the greedy landlords that run the country. I think we should have a Land League 2.0.

Does anyone know where the writer of Farside's preoccupation with cave men and insects comes from?

[-] gwilikers@lemmy.ml 5 points 5 months ago

Nah. I just have a list of blocks: "Free games"; "Hentai"; "Visual Novels"

Makes the store page way better.

Christ, imagine propagating The Protocols of the Elders of Zion in 2024. Its got to be one of the most debunked documents in history:

The spurious character of the Protocols was first revealed in 1921 by Philip Graves of The Times (London), who demonstrated their obvious resemblance to a satire on Napoleon III by the French lawyer Maurice Joly, published in 1864 and entitled Dialogue aux enfers entre Machiavel et Montesquieu (“Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu”). Subsequent investigation, particularly by the Russian historian Vladimir Burtsev, revealed that the Protocols were forgeries compounded by officials of the Russian secret police out of the satire of Joly, a fantastic novel (Biarritz) by Hermann Goedsche (1868), and other sources.

From Britannica

They were literally debunked over 100 years ago.

Yeah, I thought the same. I've use mail.com to make burner emails for accounts that don't accept maildrop.cc (one off emails).

People speaking on their phone using a loudspeaker.

People who don't understand basic elevator etiquette and attempt to walk in before people get off.

People who play Karaoke loud enough for anyone outside of their home to hear.

People who drive two motorbikes / bicycles beside each other and talk, thereby blocking traffic.

People who cut in line.

People who don't clean up after their pets.

People who get angry at the animals and not the owners for the above.

People who display a total ignorance of the most basic facts regarding other countries.

Dysfunctionally incompetent and/or lazy staff (beyond what is acceptable for low income workers).

Bureaucrats who clearly prioritise covering their ass over performing the most basic functions of their job.

People who are rude/dismissive to others who are smaller/weaker/meeker than them.

Racist taxi drivers.

Asshole bus drivers.

People who don't apologise when they are wrong and know it.

I can think of more but I'll stop there.

I can't remember where but I remember reading US agencies use tools and methods to disguise their hacks by leaving the 'fingerprints' of adversary state groups from places like Russia and NK. Not saying that's what happening here but I thought it was cool (and kinda scary).
