it'll go along and do it for a second, but then it'll quickly wipe its message. That's interesting because it suggests that the underlying model isn't the same as OpenAI's
Obviously I can't speak to Bing's claim on GPT4, but the behavior you saw does not necessarily have to do with the model. There are many ways the "chatbots" on the same model could behave differently, either by defining those behaviors programmatically or via context and prompts.
AI is tryna tell you something. Go all in on eggs and hodl

Just wait it out, people are excited about Sync but they are not gonna post forever. Block me if you want, you do you.
Not contrarian at all, just different preferences. The simple answer for many people is one of habit. Sync was the only way for many people to access Reddit for a long time (including me) and it just felt like home.
I personally am a big fan of Voyager as well and it's really nice to see the vibrant apps scene on Lemmy.
Well yeah, you are probably going though Reddit withdrawal. Comparing anything to Reddit and it'll seem dead.

Not a fan of your incendiary language and provacatory flaming attempts, but pretty on-brand for refugees who misses Reddit like an ex. I mean, Reddit is still around and I'm sure they'll take you back, just apologize and use the Official App™!
And that's totally fine. I have both and use both on a daily basis.
I just find it strange that people shitting on Tildes despite that it's overall a healthy and well run community. We should really be glad that other communities are coming up, they are not mutually exclusive after all.
DO NOT answer the door after sorting by "Top".
I think you are missing the point of Lemmy if you think it's "too decentralized". Too many Reddit refugees are eager to bend Lemmy into some kind of Reddit-shaped clone and failed to realize the differences are mostly intentional.
I actually think that multiple communities about the same topic isn't as big of an issue as most people make it out to be. If two "competing" communities grows to be large enough you will eventually get the similar content and it doesn't really matter which one you sub to, unless of course if one is "toxic" then the choice is clear. And you can always sub to both.
Soak dried Porcini or Shiitake mushroom in a bowl of warm water for about 20 min (can boil the mushrooms if fresh). The mushrooms then can be used as an ingredient to a variety of recipes but more importantly, the bowl of water is now an umami bomb, and can be used as a broth or seasoning to add a ton of flavor to a bunch of dishes (pasta sauce, soup, stir-fry...)
Porcini in particular has an earthly, nutty taste and can be used to create complex sauces with a "beefy" taste.
