I think I'll just stick with Mastodon and Lemmy.

Hogwarts Legacy is the Best Game for Steam Deck? Really? I should think a game like that would run better on a console like PS5 or XBox.

This doesn't surprise me, given how messy Facebook has become. What does disturb me is people not being able to recognize that they are AI-generated. Now, this could be due to the AI becoming so sophisticated that it can actually generate life-like images, or it could be due to humanity's inability to question what they're viewing and whether it is true or not. Either way, this is very concerning, and if it can happen on Facebook, I'm sure it's also happening on other social media sites as well.

Speaking of which, how can we stop something like this from happening on Lemmy and other federated sites?

To quote a line from Star Wars, "This deal is getting worse all the time!"

You're absolutely right about PeerTube. However, given the recent decisions made by YouTube and its parent company on adblocking, I think we might see a surge in PeerTube content and development soon.

One thing I have noticed in the past year is that whenever Big Tech services become compromised or make controversial decisions, the Fediverse equivalent starts to bloom. I joined Mastodon and Lemmy earlier this year because of the controversies surrounding X and Reddit. Now that YouTube has done the same, I think we will soon see a "great migration" to PeerTube.

Just my two cents.

Didn't Robocop teach us not to do this? I mean, wasn't that the whole point of the ED-209 robot?

It's not my primary driver, but I would gladly choose KDE over Windows.

Don't forget about the Firefox forks like LibreWolf!

Have you considered Pop OS from System76? Pop OS has a GNOME-like DE where the dock is fully displayed. It's very much like the macOS DE. The current stable release uses a GNOME-like DE, and the developers at System76 are working to make it into their own DE called Cosmic.

This is awesome! I recently switched over to Kagi because of several Lemmy posts mentioning it as an alternative. However, I really appreciate you sharing your preferred SearXNG instance. I have it added to my browser's list of search engines and may switch to it from time-to-time to see how different it is from Kagi. If there really isn't much of a difference, then I may switch to it after my Kagi membership ends.

I'm guessing this isn't what YouTube had in mind when they started this campaign.

To quote The Joker, "It'll be funny if it weren't so pathetic...oh, what the heck, I'll laugh anyways!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Chaos Rings Series (lemmy.today)
submitted 1 year ago by heygooberman@lemmy.today to c/jrpg@lemmy.zip

Does anyone remember the Chaos Rings games created by Square Enix? These were some of my favorite JRPG games back in the 2010s. The games were initially created for iOS devices, particularly the iPad. The latest in the series was Chaos Rings 3, which is still available for iOS and Android, but the previous games are no longer on the App Stores.

I would love for Square Enix to bring these games back for other platforms and maybe add a new one to the series.
