The title is misleading. Article says, currently location sharing is a Google Maps feature and it will become a Google Play Services feature, not an Android feature.

Google Play Services is NOT the only way you can use Android.

Please correct me if I'm wrong I haven't used Google Maps nor Play Services for years. MicroG is good enough for me.

Harmony Os exists because of the US trade embargoes, they would put Google Play Services on their phone if they could. I don't know if Lemmy is blocked in China (I guess it is), so if you could write that comment it means you are not even the target audience.

That's the same as Ublock Origin - Anoyances list, you don't need a separate addon for that.

Ublock Origin -> Settings -> External Filters -> Annoyances -> Tick all

I use these ones frequently:

My bank's 2FA works only via their app or via SMS. For SMS I would have to pay per each received SMS.

The app perfectly works without safetynet, with microG, rooted with magisk but hidden by zygisk, so I'm lucky. At one update they added a popup at start after login about asking to add my card to Google Wallet (or whatever it's called nowadays), and it's not implemented in MicroG, so I can't open it since that version. I just downgraded to the last working version and blacklisted its upgrades in Aurora, and I hope they won't block my old version in the near future.

It's a very progressive small local bank, I will contact them about this issue if they block my old version to make that dialog optional.

No license file (yet?), but source code (or something like that) is on github: https://github.com/EmissarySocial/bandwagon

It seems like it's an example app built with the Emissary Social Toolkit: https://emissary.dev/ https://github.com/EmissarySocial/emissary AGPL3

If you don't give more context we can't really help.

Why do you want to open 100s of tabs? Where do you get the links, are they generated by some other software, or you just saved them?

[-] infeeeee@lemm.ee 9 points 10 months ago

Yes, because you are on lemm.ee as well. See the same post in browser from different instances, e.g.: you have a comment on this post: https://lemm.ee/post/19222111 If you see the same post on lemmy.world, you cannot find your comment: https://lemmy.world/post/10009901

Is this image mirrored and rotated? The text above Jesus according to tradition was INRI "Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum" and it seems mirrored on this image. The border also seems out of place a bit.

On this Russian website they have rotated, mirrored version without the border: https://prelestgizni.blogspot.com/2012/04/blog-post_17.html

Maybe this is the original? I like this version better, the dynamic of the painting is up/down, while on the post it's left/right, it looks like Jesus is laying on the top of an airplane, which is turning right:) In this version it looks like he is on a space shuttle after liftoff

Edit: After some more search I really sure the border is not part of the composition. That sign is called "Kolovrat", and it's used by the "slavic neopagainst" movement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika#Slavic_Native_Faith

After Vasilyev's death, neopaganists discovered his art. Here is another of his paintings where you can clearly see that the border was added later: https://www.wikiart.org/en/konstantin-vasilyev/volga-2 You can see the original picture frame on the left side.

I guess the first person scanned this image added the border, as they was a "neopagainst" fan of Vasilyev. They added the border, even though the theme of this picture is not related to their faith, unlike a lot of his other paintings.

For S23 there is only one Worldwide version with Snapdragon. They had separate versions since S7.
