I'm using a Sharp Aquos Wish from 2022, because it's 5.8 inches tall. It just barely fits in my pocket, but honestly is a bit uncomfortable. I wish I had a phone about 5.5 inches tall. Ideally with the latest android OS, a good battery, and wireless charging.

NOTHING like that exists! The closest is maybe the Unihertz Jelly Max, which is Android 14 instead of 15, and doesn't support wireless charging. It's also made in China, and comes preinstalled with spyware.

I could use GrapheneOS if I got a Google Pixel, but Google doesn't have a line of small phones. They even developed foldable phones so they could make a smaller foldable phone if they wanted, but instead they created the abomination that is the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which is a gigantic 6 inch phone when folded, and unfolds into a tablet-sized device. For the love of god, WHY!???

The whole point of foldables was to make phones smaller, not make them twice as big! Who was responsible for this?

I don't know what to do. At this point I think I may never upgrade my phone. I'll be using my Sharp Aquos Wish 10 years from now, and then abandon phones entirely when the network stops servicing Android 11.

More like the Pentagon wants to shoot Americans, and Trump is their "yes man"

You won't convince me Trump is actually in charge. Not unless DOGE investigates the Pentagon, and the reason Musk cut ties is so that he wouldn't be assassinated for that investigation.

The Pentagon has failed every annual audit since they started auditing it 7 years ago.

The day before 9/11, Donald Rumsfeld gave a speech about how the Pentagon lost over 2 trillion dollars that it couldn't account for. 9/11 was the distraction the Pentagon needed to prevent an audit, and they got 20 years if increased military spending thanks to the "war on terror"

The Pentagon will kill anyone who tries to hold it accountable. They will steal any amount of money, including trillions and trillions of dollars. They answer to no one.

Right there. That's the real enemy to our Republic.

"Because it's a soul-crushing, dead-end minimum wage job" Then why are you applying now? "Because I've always dreamed of working at Chipotle. I love this franchise, the food, the people, and want nothing more than to work for you"

You have to keep them off balance!

I can't even view the website anymore. It gives me this. Does the same thing from my home PC and my work PC.

It's a massive pain in the ass because when I google search for information, half the results are from reddit. Those results are all useless now. I can't see the information.

Fuck that place. Fuck the shit-eating motherfuckers who are running it into the ground. I'm so tired of self-entitled elitism. Someone needs to tell these fuckers that they're not better than anyone else and just because they don't like someone's opinion that's not a good reason to exclude them, silence them, and isolate them. WTF.

I spent like $2000 playing Star Trek Online. Lockbox keys, lifetime sub, all sorts of ships, items, and boosts. They introduced Mark XIV equipment with a gambling-based crafting system. You could spend dilithium (which you could buy with $) to have a chance to upgrade your equipment.

The straw that broke me? Their shitty customer service. I wanted to gear up an alt and give them the Jem'Hadar battleship with the Jem'hadar attack ship so they could launch the attack ships from it as fighters, which you could do if you had both. Problem was some ships were account bound, and some ships were character bound, and I lost track of which was which. I ended up claiming the box for one of them on the wrong character. Easy fix, right? Well not every MMO is run to the same standard as Blizzard. Craptic absolutely refused to help me. So I cut ties.

It was after that, when I experienceced withdrawal, that I read about gambler's fallacy and sunken cost fallacy and I really analyzed why it hurt so much to leave behind my addiction. I never went back, because I know that whole game is run like a casino. They do everything they can to hook you in.

I just don't see a place for it in the market. Steam is the big daddy DRM store. GOG is the old school DRM-free store. Itch is the small time indie dev store. Epic will never be a general storefront like one of the above. The only reason to use Epic is to play one of their exclusive games, and in that case they're no different from any company that refuses to multiplat their games. Blizzard selling their games on the Blizzard store or Nintendo selling their games on the Nintendo store. It just comes down to wanting a larger cut of the sales, instead of paying someone else to use their storefront.

35,000 pounds of $100 bills would be $1,587,573,295 a year. Rich bastard.

Also Canada will have to pay Trump $3.50 for a golden shower

No I was imagining a rod of destruction sticking out the side of the car, and whenever it hit a building we were driving past it would annihilate the building like the juggernaut ran through it.

... isn't that what normal kids thought about?

I was thinking about this today. They even have a thread over at reddit about it. The admins tried to tell people they only permaban after issueing several temp bans.

No they don't. I've only ever gotten permabans. I also don't think anything I did (some angry shitposts. No threats, harassment, or anything like that) deserved a permaban. Like they could have given me a temp ban or a subreddit ban, and I would have been fine with that. They for some reason went nuclear on me and went straight to site-wide permaban. I don't know why, I filed appeals, I sent messages. I tried to reason with them. Nothing. They go nuclear as standard practice and are completely inflexible about it.

I don't smoke myself but you need to know that cigarettes are super-processed crap. They intentionally add more poisonous shit to them. Even I like the smell of loose leaf tobacco smoked in a pipe, or in a quality cigar. The reason people first started smoking tobacco is because it smells good. But you're right that's not cigarettes.

There could be two ways to address this problem. One is asteroid mining, which has the potential to be extremely lucrative because there are lots of asteroids with huge metal deposits.

Another is discovering new conductors. There's been progress in developing conductive plastics. https://phys.org/news/2022-10-scientists-material-plastic-metal.html
