Arkenfox put it in the "Don't bother" list: https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js/wiki/4.1-Extensions#-dont-bother
Be careful and keep a backup, I've read so many stories of Apple deleting people music randomly.
J'avais pas vu de contrepoints depuis que j'ai quitté reddit, bas ça m'avais pas manqué.
What would a blockchain provide here?
The whole point of not being federated is not to call the other servers. I don't run a server but I hope it's not calling home if specifically configured to not be federated.
But you would miss all the numbers from non-federated instances.
Maybe I've misunderstood how it works. I thought that when connecting to a matrix instance you would point to the domain name and the text file would be on a standard location (as with /robots.txt
or all the files in /.well-known/
) so it would be easily discoverable. In fact I just checked and matrix does use /.well-known/
so one should be able to identify matrix servers by querying these URLs. Unless their is a way to use a non-standard location, but that would require further configuration on the client I guess.
And just to answer your question, the only way to find some hidden file would be to brute force. This could obviously be extremely time consuming if the URL is long and random enough, especially if you add rate limiting (this last thing could be circumvented by using multiple IPs to scan, which would be easy for a state actor).
Edit: I've just realized I wasn't answering to the same person, the first part of the message was more for @TarantulaFudge@startrek.website
It's probably just genetics.
Ça a l'air de marcher pourtant, c'était peut être temporaire.
Being present in the moment means not having your mind wanders. You can still have moments dedicated to planning for the future. And you can also be present in those moments, planning while not having your mind wanders.
Now I think it's also important to add that it's normal for the mind to wander. You don't learn to be present in the moment by being mad at your mind for wandering. Just refocus on your subject once you've noticed that you've wandered away.
I think it's more because it's a very easy step if it's the same company serving both the content and the ads. Just serve both through the same domains and you can't use DNS to block one without blocking the other.
You can re-use those but so does anyone, so you should consider those accounts as public.
