Plus I should mention they're the ones always complaining about everything to the property manager despite being massive hypocritical pieces os

[-] jlyndby@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

It's like a shoebox you can hear everything tbh.. it is torture but they should realize it's the apartments fault and not mine. They're not quiet at all either but I don't follow their every move and blackmail them. The crazy bitch is literally home all day "getting back at me" for every noise I make

[-] jlyndby@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

The thing is idk what to do, cause they can claim all the sounds are "normal" or an accident. For example today at around 1230am I heard them screetch their chair extremely loudly and suddenly twice in a row but spaced apart by like a minute. It was most definitely not a normal chair screetching noise as usual throughout the day. Then again they made several banging noises after until about 1am (but I'm worried my phone isn't picking the noises up).

Them again they woke me at 5am and I could tell they were trying to.

While yesterday technically I'm not sure the exact time but it was around 8am (end of quiet hour) where they slammed the door into the frame approx 3-4 times just loudly enough to wake me but not loudly enough to prove it was on purpose

This is all after I tried to be as quiet as possible all day.

The police here are absolutely worthless and disgraceful

[-] jlyndby@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

I tried speaking to other neighbours and as I said everyone already seems to have been turned against me and think that I am the one making the noise.

I tried speaking to the property manager about a basic issue, not even this, and hr just interrupted me, spoke over me, argued with me over shit thats not true, dismissed me and without saying it told me he can't help me

[-] jlyndby@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

I honestly don't know how I can do that. For example this morning they pushed the door against the frame like 4 times, just loudly enough to wake me. also pretty sure it was after quiet hours ended (8am) so it's technically allowed. Plus I can't prove they did it to bother me.

I've tried turning up my tv before when I used to live here and it just made everything worse to where they woke me up in the middle of the night slamming the doors just enough.. and this was their usual cause their kids wake them so it doesn't affect them negatively

If I leave music on they'll immediately complain and it'll be obvious I'm doing it to bother them

They've gone as far to terrorize me psychologically by circling my property (car) outside which I can't prove because what they're doing is technically legal, but they're going around my car and between it. Now they're doing it to other cars too after I reported them so that they have plausible deniability. This doesn't affect them negatively either cause either way they are in the parking lot for at least 1 hour each day with their kids, literally walking the stroller in circles around the parking (they have no life and are too lazy to go elsewhere cause the parking lot is most convenient cause it's all smooth and they can just go in circles)

Recently had to move back to my apartment cause I broke up with my bf. To start MOVING IS IMPOSSIBLE for many reasons, please don't even ask.

Was hoping for a fresh start with the psychopaths who live below me. I did everything possible to gaslight myself into thinking it was all just a big misunderstanding and that there was hope to repair our relations.

Basically the first day, I had ptsd from before. I tried my hardest to tip toe the entire day, and to never walk quickly so that I don't bother them (dress despite hearing them stomping and walking aggressively).

The entire time I am on edge because every time I make the smallest noise they counterattack it, doesn't matter if it's an accident or once per day. So basically my body and mind is always in a state of fight or flight, bracing itself constantly for a reaction.

Even then, I had to listen to them being noisy af. At one point I tried to turn on my tv on THE LOWEST VOLUME and it wasn't in response to anything they did. They immediately but some vibrating device on and it kept buzzing it sounded like a drill but it was just a ceiling vibrator and I recorded it. They stopped since then I think they realized it's too obvious or they could only use the plausible deniability to confuse it with some dude that was renovating for 5 minutes.

After 3 days have passed of living here, I'm realizing there seems to be no winning.

Basically their rules are, that they can make as much noise as they want, but if I make the tiniest noise I will be punished.

Not only that, but they also attack unprovoked. I feel like they are genuinely trying their absolute hardest to get a reaction out of me, it's like their hobby or something. The third day I put my earplugs in, and even when I was COMPLETELY SILENT LYING ON THE COUCH FOR HOURS, they started escalating and they dropped a really heavy object to the point where the whole apartment building vibrated. They also hammer all day at random times including quiet hours but they do it really quietly, to the point where it's legal. Like its enough to drive you literally insane.

They also randomly aggressively stomp and they also do stuff to imitate me. Like if I read something funny and laugh (im not obnoxious) right after they will slam stuff or stomp aggressively. Keep in mind I literally laughed once not like I've been annoying them 24/7.

Now everyone will try to gaslight me but there's a lot more that proves they are doing it on purpose, and I'm NOT delusional or imagining things.

Is there actually nothing I can do? Like I don't even think sueing them would help cause they're not gonna move out.

I just don't get why they're doing it. I'm also worried about them framing me. I feel like most people in the apartment have already turned against me cause I'm the only foreigner who speaks with an accent here.

For example, once I tried going to different floors to see where the sound was coming from, and 2 different people complained immediately and reported me saying I'm "creepy" and "invading their space" and need to stop immediately or they'll call the cops (I was a 26 year old girl at the time)...

They immediately threatened they would have a meeting with me and the property manager and the other 2 people to have a "talk" with me

I just don't know wtf to do anymore and I don't understand why I'm the target of everything

I genuinely feel like no matter what I do, psychopaths can always pretty much immediately defect me as the perfect victim.

I think it's partly because I'm ugly, partly because I'm sensitive, and they can just tell I'm a weak person.

It's making my life a living hell, no matter how hard I try I just can't blend it, I can't force myself to act a certain way, it's exhausting to me

Help..

If an apartment has high ceilings and big rooms it gives me anxiety. I'm not sure if it's because I tie it to traumatic experiences of what.

In my big apartment that I rented I felt awful and had anxiety. It also has light colours everywhere.

The little one felt cozier and had darker colours.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I don't know what to do cause I'm stuck in the bigger one until the lease is up

[-] jlyndby@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Wdym by uncalled for? Like.. idk I can't control how I feel ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Plus since so many people flopped maybe they really aren't ok with helping

So basically out of the blue decided I need to move out of his apartment and he threatened me with some stuff like that he will get my neighbours to harass me or something.

Police is useless and I'm jobless with minimal savings. I have a place to move back to but nobody to help me move.

I've been trying all day to post in local Facebook groups for help, a few people offered to help me move then ghosted me.

I literally don't have the mental capacity of physical strength to do it alone. He is coming tomorrow to move me out but I know he will abuse me and try to accuse me of something and threaten me.

I don't know what to do. Even this guy I met once before was going to help me move and ghosted me.

I've been in a few situations where I need substantial help from strangers, and some have offered to help (most haven't followed through) but I just can't do it.

For example someone offered to help me move and I just feel super uncomfortable about it to the point where I'd rather risk something bad happening to me. Like I feel super awkward and uncomfortable accepting huge favours from strangers

Someone even offered a place to stay for me with my pets but I can't accept it cause I feel way too awkward and like I owe them or something, like I have a huge fear and anxiety about it

Like I just feel like a disgusting parasite wasting their time and energy and it's also humiliating

Is that normal?

Thanks! I was getting really confused because the local Miele website had zero info on each model. So I checked the UK one, and it seems like the C3s are mostly the same, and the only difference seems to be the attachments they come with, and some have a different "comfort" handle. Which is literally what you just said, lol.

Maybe I will choose based on the colour of the vacuum lol. The pet one seems to only come in dark red.

I hope they come with codes for free vacuum bags here xD they're having a decent sale now so I've been considering getting one

Honestly the main part that worries me is that for the price, they seem to have a pretty small warranty period (12-24 months). That's the only thing keeping me from buying one immediately

I had the Philips one but after about a year it's suction changed to the point where it's hard for it to pick up cat litter now..

It must be able to deal with a lot of cat hair and litter.. and preferably be under 500 euros.

Of course I think a corded one is better for my purposes, and I have mostly hard floors with a few small rugs.

The problem is that every year the quality decreases, so it becomes difficult to know which vacuums will still be good. For example, someone may have purchased the same vacuum 5 years ago and think it's great but the one sold today might not compare

But what can I do? I'm so tired

Is it bad if my apartment doesn't get any drafts in it? I want to block the front door gap, but my dad got mad and said this would cause mold issues.

How and why? I mean I don't live there so why would it become humid?

It's not really an option to keep it open cause I'm allergic to some of the stuff that comes in from the neighbours

Follow up question: is it true that turning the bathroom fan on won't do anything, if there isn't somewhere outside the apartment that air can be drawn from?
