I prefer FOSS as much as possible and didn't read all comments on YouTube but ... desktop applications are not SAAS. eg LibreOffice and Adobe apps. But I guess it only requires a different title as the list itself is useful

For my family my setup slightly different for reasons in other comments:

  • do change browsers away from Chrome or Edge
  • do change search engines
  • allow cookies
  • drop tracking surveillance traffic at the network level with something like pihole or nextdns

Are the bulletpoints requirements for a less over-engineered attempt ?

Or are they examples of the current situation?

And just software without protocol seems. .... oversimplification.

This baffled me to no end, but the -P flag did the trick.

eg Win11: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P as a shortcut.

Got used to always start with profile picker.

Had this once at a retail store while paying. Entering PIN without muscle memory. .... Weird and almost made 3 errors which would have blocked my card.
