Someone I know misheard "Tenth Avenue Freestyle" as "Tell the devil you freestyle" and honestly that's a much more interesting song.
Hopefully HDR can get crossed off that list soon
I've considered it, although it'd be a situation where it would probably just be the game code without assets (sounds, textures, etc.), since those are under different licenses. Also, it's not really a "living" game like most FOSS games - once it's released it will pretty much be in its final form. So if I make the code public it'll mostly just be for reference.
Finally instance blocking! That should help a lot to tone down some controversies.
Ensign Ro and old Jake are both in Half-Life 2, those voices are ingrained in my memory so I instantly recognized them when i watched the show.
Absolutely amazing episode. Good mystery, clever answer, and it was creepy. Don't even know where to start with the praise for this one... It's nice to see the doctor without the sonic or the tardis, I don't remember any episodes playing around with alien languages so it was cool to see them without the translation matrix.
Also I know some people are gonna be annoyed that the timeless child stuff wasn't retconned, but honestly I'm happy with with they're doing with it. Chibnall had ideas but didn't do a good job of actually making it effect characters. For example, during Flux a few companions were stuck in the past for like 5 years and basically nothing changed about them - no trauma, no growth, nothing. RTD using Flux as a modern "time war" of sorts is exactly what I wanted from it in the first place - it's something that gives the doctor immense guilt and we actually see that in this episode. I totally think that Chibnall's era was horrible but if RTD can make lemonade out of lemons, I'm all for it.
But like, man that was a good premise. Good mystery, amazing setup - that moment when the doppelgangers are revealed was so well done, I thought it was just weird editing until I realized what was going on. Also the two parallel confrontations, knowing that one person in each is fake, but not knowing who it is in either group... Then turning the doctor's need to figure things out against him... Good shit.
Dude it's a triple-a video game, of course it's gonna let you down.
In general it isn't a comedy. There are definitely episodes here and there that are 100% comedy
12 Minutes. It sucks because I was really looking forward to it - it's published by Annapurna which has an amazing track record, and the trailer and concept looked really interesting. But it just kind of devolves into a really basic point and click game with one location where you just have to try every combination of things until something works. And the story itself is just a trainwreck. I wasn't left satisfied or with any interesting thoughts, I was mostly just confused as to what the hell I was supposed to get out of it.
If you want a good time loop game published by Annapurna, just play Outer Wilds.
Firefox gets so much crap for the logo when it's probably the best minimalist logo there is. People just mistook the more general Firefox "brand" logo with the actual browser logo.
Fascism is an actual defined term. Woke isn't, it just means whatever the user wants it to mean, which is usually something like not wanting some minority group to exist.
I mean, that's not cruelty free. Someone's still gotta animate that. And most good animators either act scenes out beforehand and/or use reference footage.
