This is something I’ve had a really hard time drilling into peoples’ heads. Based on current data, the average EV battery built today wont fail in 10-15 years; they’ll just degrade 10-15%. And yeah, in that time period, at current gas/electricity rates, I’ll have saved $30K in gas alone (I saved 2K last year * 15 years = $30K) and it stands to reason that gas prices will continue to climb. Electricity as well but once it hits 20 cents per kWh for me, I’m getting solar.

There are definitely situations where it's more expensive, like if you exclusively use DCFCs. My electricity is 15 cents per kWh at home (so that's where i do all my charging), but the local ElectrifyAmerica station charges 48 cents per kWh, which would make my Model 3 cost 13 cents per mile, which is damn near what my Honda Accord costs me in gas (gas is $3.87 per gallon right now. at $3.25 it would be cheaper).

I feel for people who don't have the option to charge at home and I hope that problem gets solved quickly

Yeah, agreed. I came here because like you said, whether it’s doom bait, rage bait, trolls, or dumb memes, every post on Reddit made me feel some sort of negative emotion. This place was better for a bit, but is definitely trending in the same direction, and I’m thinking I’m gonna just delete my account and try to spend less time browsing in general

I haven't tried the demo this time around, so I'm not sure if it's different from the last next fest, but I really enjoyed it back then. Not all the steam world games are for me, but I really love the aesthetic and that they just throw every genre at it to see what sticks. I'm excited for this to come out to play on steam deck

I love my steam deck and also had a son during the pandemic, but funny enough it didn't really have that effect on me. I can't really game when he's awake because he's too interested in touching the buttons/screen himself, and if he's asleep, I can just play something on my PS5 or Xbox on the couch. I do use my steam deck a lot when he's taking a car nap or whenever my wife and I want to watch a TV show together (but not the kind of show that demands full attention)

What’s broken and unusable about the taskbar? I’ve had w11 installed since the beta days, and other than aligning it back to the left (my webcam blocks the bottom center of my screen), I haven’t had any issues with it
