I’m not sure how true this is, but I read somewhere that when Mac got above 5% market share, it suddenly got a lot more mainstream support.

I wonder if that means we’re are a year or two away from Linux as a mainstream option.

I’d love to have an arm based Linux laptop with software support for one of my critical work apps.

Good, this is an S+ tier game. I’m not saying it’s for everyone, but if you look at the game and what it offers. I think you can objectively agree that it is a masterpiece of a game.

I’m sure there is a bumper stick that’s says “I got this before musk was crazy”

Yeah don’t give them raw chicken because cats that kill chickens in the wild will always cook them first.

I don’t want an extravagant life, I just want a stress free life.

Let me have a modest house and enough passive income to pay for utilities and food.

I don’t mind working, but I don’t want to have to stress about not having these things.

It’s like we are entering an economy where you are either rich and can afford basic things like a car and house or you are poor and feel like you are being kept out of this world.

I’m not buying a console for this game. Pc gaming has gotten a lot bigger, I’d be surprised if they skipped it.

Haha, I never considered that perspective I envy may cats often, but they do freak out at the smallest thing, like one cat is terrified of trash bags, but only when they are empty.

My parents keep asking my wife and I to fly out to spend time with them.

They don’t get that we are trying to save for a house. Like, I do want to fly out and visit you, but we live in different countries and once all things are considered, we will be paying a huge amount of our savings to go out.

My wife and I just got to a point where we can start to save good money each month. Our parents owned their own home by the time they were our age. It’s like we have to play this game of catchup to have some stability.

Just wait until someone connect chatgpt to one of those gigantic 3d printers that print buildings.

Are we really that far from having “AI” do this?

I completely agree. I think the 360 era was the last time it felt like there was a huge jump in graphics. Everything since then seems to just be a slow drip of improvements.

I’m not saying thing aren’t amazing these days, but ps4 vs ps5 isn’t as different as ps1 to ps2 was.

I’d argue getting doom to run is a good way to demonstrate understanding of the tech.
