A ridiculous question. "Tankie" isn't a term anyone self-identifies with, it's mostly a term used by liberals to hurl at anyone to the left of them or anyone who agrees with western foreign policy. The survey results will be as meaningless as the term "tankie" itself.
I'm struck by this passage from Against Empire by Michael Parenti, published 30 years ago:
Mainstream pundits and propagandists label our desire to move away from corporate militarism and imperial domination as weakness, folly, isolationism, or self-defeating pacifism. But there is another name for the course of action that aims to wrest the wealth and power out of the hands of the military-industrial complex and the multinational investor class and give it back to the people so that they can become agents of their own lives and social conditions: it is called democracy, the victory of the republic over empire.
This is just another "claim" like every other claim. Pure speculation based on feelings. I imagine we'll never hear the end of it. They'll rotate between Cuba, Russia, China, and North Korea as the perpetrators (sometimes claiming they're all involved at once via technology sharing).
I agree with you and I'd like to point out we've done studies and found that "Russiagate" in 2016 was a big nothingburger. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/01/09/russian-trolls-twitter-had-little-influence-2016-voters/
Democrats don't want to hear it, though, because it's a very convenient excuse for their own failings. Just like them blaming Bernie Bros, despite Bernie supporters voting for Clinton in larger numbers than Clinton supporters voted for Obama 8 years prior.
They simply don't want to take responsibility for their own actions (and inaction).
No? Stock photos are technically just other people's art? The point is that the "AI" we're currently talking about is INCAPABLE of anything other than reassembling other people's art.
If it could have its own experiences, it would be an entirely different thing and it would be unethical to exploit their labor. Current AI is just really efficient copying that covers its own tracks by copying A LOT at once. That's just what this technology is.
Typing in a prompt to "create art" with these is tantamount to image searching on google and claiming all the images are yours because you came up with the search term.
My country is supporting genocide vocally and monetarily, and there's nothing I can do about it. And me not being on board with that makes me a bad guy. People are losing their jobs for not being on board. Evil fascist country.
Morrowind erasure.
Unlike Star Trek, they failed to imagine humans beyond capitalism. In one of the "largest" cities in a galaxy with infinite resources, infinite space, and faster than light travel... why am I helping out a homeless shelter? Why is it literally modern problems, but in space? Surely the invention of technologies like the grav drive would leave to SOME sort of change in class structure? There's just no creativity. You could put a green filter on everything, bomb things out a bit, and you'd assume you're playing Fallout, but you find out Vault-Tec sent ships into space to colonize the galaxy as well.
You should be using your voice to pressure Democrats to change their stance on genocide, not shaming voters into becoming complicit in the genocide. This is the one time you have any power and if you back down now, it will not end. You are a coward if you continuously put yourself above the project of ending American empire.
