Not really old internet but Google search results were actually good a few years ago, now it's utter garbage, maybe because I've stopped using chrome and installed ad blocking and anti spying addons, same with Facebook, my feed just recently became filled with some weird cheesy simp oriented content with a hint of red pill

Design aside I still cannot fathom why people are so excited about Mediatek phone, I mean, while performance is not bad, the efficiency is shit on Mediatek SoCs

BTW what is this site anyway? Does anyone have problems scrolling or is it just me?

I doubt it'll be a completely original project from the ground up, like Google's Tensor it's based on Samsung's Exynos

So like almost all AI renditions in pop culture, the only way to stop wars is to exterminate humanity

well, if you eat that shit the ads and tracking on their site should be the least of your worries

It's called Time-based one-time password (TOTP), there are many apps for that, you don't have to use Aegis authenticator, although most apps like this are mobile need there are also some desktop programs for Windows and Linux available

I hate this trend of fearmongering posts or videos on why you should or shouldn't do, "don't use this phone", "don't use this piece of software"

Yeah I kinda noticed this privacy/FOSS thing here, people commenting about software in question being proprietary or has cloud backup for example I have to double check what community I'm at, and 90% times it's not privacy or FOSS related, I was downvoted multiple times for making a mistake of mentioning proprietary software

most tech sites just became an easy cash grab, it's page displays that counts for publisher, it means money, the content doesn't matter, you entered the site, they got the money, it 'helps' that people nowadays don't browse organically but click headers in aggregating apps like google news/now feed or web aggregators like lemmy or reddit, like android police for example, most of the news are rubbish like guides on how to change your phone's volume etc or find best charging cable for your , they also keep refreshing old (often out of date) articles, they show as new with today timestamp and no apparent changes, people point it out in the comments but they don't care, but i see most news outlets nowadays don't have comment sections, so maybe AP will delete their discuss in the near future, because users don't count, content doesn't count, it's the revenue that counts, that too is why youtube isn't showing downvotes count anymore, it clashed with their business model

IMO it's a non-problem, because it's not permanent, it dissapears if you start scrolling and enables you to reach it with your thumb
