There is no or a very small impact of regulation on the number of exiled people coming in country. However, making more people illegal let bosses exploit them more. Those workers could not sue their boss because of those regulations, and most conservative unions rely unfortunately too much on legal solutions.

So if a country couldn't limit immigrations, it could exploit more people and bybass human right with regulations against exiled people.

Yes, this is only positive for far-right bosses, and awful for others. But guess who decide in a capitalist economy ?

Central Unions and big political organizations have cancelled the common meeting planned for this week, because "the far-right didn't pass" This the 3rd time they almost did, I don't know how many warning shot they need.

I'm sick of the blindness of the left management. We seriously need more people in grass roots organization.

I said such things too, but one day I ask myself, could I said it in front of people bombed by my tools ? Our tools are not neutral things, but produce and distribute by social relationship that we could fight. Sorry but we the rise of fascism and ecological disaster we could not afford to give up our power as producer to mass murderer

The goal was to make a Flash Gordon adaptation. So objectively, this is a failure. A very cool one

A state with equals rights on th former Mandatory Palestine territory would free "from the river to the see". If you think that it's imply the destruction of the state of Israel, it's mean that for you, the very existence of the Israel State couldn't lead to the freedom of people on that territory.

If this only thing that matter is freedom, this exactly what is shout out.

If you thing this dog whistle, give sources. The only one I found was zionist organizations. In a time of war, I'm not sure we could rely on its.

French government make electricity price scale on the most expansive one. So with the war in Ukraine, the price of gas plumed up, and so do every electricity bill that was never so expansive, by far.

The "liberalization of energy market" force everyone to buy electricity from courrier that don't do anything; they do not produce or invest, they just buy and sell electricity. This firms take all the money between the price and the cost. This severely threat the electricity production, that is still made by the former public firm (ex « Électricité de France » ); even if it's electricity is the cheapest, and it's the firm that invest the more in renewable energy.

This kind of stories rely on the same narratives that mass media : their is obvious injustice, and a way to fight it. Maybe if the first part of that stories spoke to us from the dominant side, it would be way more effective.

Andor showing us that agent from imperial political police want stability, to feed their family, and being respected. The Witcher, where a lot of people speak about Scoiatel as a racist group.

It shall not be something like "both side are equally evil" but "what make people act like that ? And Who have the choice, and who don't ?".

Pretty bad experience with matrix here. Many users have issues with decrypting messages or having some conversations unable to open. Sometimes we have to disable the encryption, and in some case it don't work either. In all cases, we couldn't find too old messages. Usually you have to balance between safety and archives; both are unreliable. Migrating a community to a specific protocol is not something you could repeat a lot.

I don't know if it's related with the servers, or with the protocol itself. I suspect that things get ugly when your conversations are too big, but it could be the latency between servers, or lack of ressources from server side. If so, you have consider to selfhost a matrix server, or to consider it as not federated, and use the server matrix.org like everyone (which seems to work fine).
