It can't replace real human interactions but listening to podcasts definitely helps if you spend a lot of time alone like I do. I recommend listening to Guys, it's a podcast about different types of guys. It's mandatory listening for everybody on Hexbear

I also haven't found a great couch to 5k app so I just use this image to check the intervals:

and track them on the deafult timer app. You can use the Strava app to track your distance and stuff

I haven't read that book yet but it's on my list, I've heard it's good. Let us know your thoughts when you read it!

Checking up on homies is important, I try to do it regularly as well. Especially when you are a dude, we aren't taught how to have good friendships

I might not have the energy for intense exercise several times a week, but I still go for walks instead.

I also go for walks at least once every day. bridget-yoyo-walk

Life pro tip: if you don't have energy to do a full workout, try doing microexercises throughout the day. Even if it's just one or two incline push-ups per day, it's still better than zero. Over time you can start slowly adding reps and you can make a lot of progress that way. I'm also doing these exercises for my back which are also fairly easy.

Those are great goals! Check out "Couch to 5k" if you haven't, it's a great running program. There are a lot of free apps for it.

What kind of music are you into? Do you play an instrument?

Congratulations on the progress so far! rat-salute-2

I bet you can do the whole month, keep us updated on your progress. Are you playing or watching Fallout?

Hell yeah, that sounds awesome. I want to start another modded Skyrim run as well. What are some of your favourite mods?

[-] moonlake@hexbear.net 2 points 7 months ago

That's okay, sometimes in life you simply have to say to hell with practice and become consumed by a 70-hour JRPG masterpiece. After that experience, you will return even stronger anti-shinra-action

Came here to post this. I agree that they are some of the best RPGs of all time.

I think the graphics still hold up because they fit the atmosphere so well. The only reason why it's hard to recommend is the combat system.

Have you played Risen 1 from the same devs? It's probably my favourite game of all time. Also, I've heard that "The Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos" mod is great.
