They’re floundering enough just from devs outcry.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall when they inform Microsoft & NVidia that they’re going to send them a bill for games running on Gamepass and GeForce Now.

As a pitbull owner, I may take my chances trying to subdue an aggressive PB. An agressive Rot, I’m climbing trees.

BC titles remain available through the current store.

Nope. You’ll tire out if you try to get nuts when you first start but you’ll improve quickly. Doesn’t take a lot of air.

You think you are talking to a very different person than you actually are.

Not making their sources generally available for download is NOT the same as closed source. The only ones subject to their new licensing agreements are their paying customers. They are very much pushing against the spirit of FOSS licenses but there is no potential for some Joe on the street to get sued for looking at their source code.

I’ve seen them. I understand them. I’m correct.

It's right in the API: https://join-lemmy.org/api/interfaces/PersonAggregates.html

Returns: comment_count, comment_score, id, person_id, post_count, post_score

Assuming that this isn’t exclusive to the particular builds those instances are running it’s going to be a rodeo for a while. While I can see the desire to target larger instances it’s not going to be long before any instance is a target for the lulz.

Ok... have to admit that I miss one thing from Reddit... I have no awards to give.

That's not always the case. My username has heritage dating back all the way through to Slashdot, Digg and through Reddit. While you may not know me that doesn't mean I'm unknown or anonymous.

On Reddit I could upvote or downvote as I pleased, without exposing my POV on controversial topics to the general populace. Only commenting would actually out me. That's not the case with Lemmy and making people aware of that is a good thing, imo.

I've found that I've had best success for bin magazines by searching for the entire URL, e.g. https://kbin.social/m/catsubs

That being said, your !catsubs@kbin.social link worked just fine when I clicked it from my own instance.

Edit: Realized your home is lemmy.world. I believe the !catsubs@kbin.social link format may not work from there as they're still on 17.4, waiting fro 18.1 release rather than upgrading to 18.0. So, my positive experience may not mirror your own.
