"Dress in your most elegant clothes, style your hair well, put on perfume, and smile for the photo, because you might be the next martyr.β - The martyr Nour Jarrar
Yesterday, August 16, marked the third martyrdom anniversary of four heroic resistance fighters who remained true to the path of the founder and commander, Jamil Al-Amouri. The sons of Jenin, Nour Jarrar, Raed Abu Seif, Saleh Ammar, and Amjad Al-Azmi ascended to martyrdom after the occupation forces stormed Jenin Camp and were met with fierce clashes by the resistance fighters.
The first martyr, Nour Jarrar was always active in the life of resistance. He was always present in community events and funeral processions for the martyrs, he eventually joined the Saraya Al-Quds brigade to continue the path towards liberation. Throughout his life, he was repeatedly arrested by the Palestinian Authority. When Nour was just 14 years old, the PA arrested him after he attempted to carry out a stabbing operation at the Jalameh checkpoint. Later in his life, he was arrested by the occupation forces; after his release from the occupation's prison, he quickly saved up money just to purchase a rifle and return to his life of resistance. Nour embodied himself as one of the first fighters in Jenin Camp to rise on the path of Al-Amouri. In response to this, the occupation forces would threaten him and his family to give up his resistance activities. After the martyrdom of Jamil Al-Amouri, the Palestinian Authority offered him to hand over his weapon in exchange for a pardon. However, Nour paid no attention to these negotiations and cowardly tactics, Nour decided to remain on the path of Al-Amouri and to never surrender himself, honoring the phrase "Victory or Martyrdom."
The second martyr, Nour's close companion, Amjad Al-Azmi, was also a resistance fighter. Amjad and Nour would do everything together, from traveling to resisting. With secrecy, Nour would help Amjad in manufacturing and gathering explosive devices. Amjad was martyred while attempting to save the life of the fighter Nour Jarrar, who was shot by a zionist sniper. When Amjad reached Nour, he was shot by the occupation forces, ascending as a martyr on the battlefield beside his comrade, Nour Jarrar.
The third martyr, Raed Abu Seif sought martyrdom and by the will of God, he was honored with it.
The last martyr, Saleh Ammar, ascended to martyrdom after confrontations with the invading occupation forces in his neighborhood.
The mother of the martyr Nour Jarrar says that Nour's wish was to visit and eat breakfast in Al-Quds and pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and on August 16th, he rose as a martyr on the road to Al-Quds. Today, the bodies of the two companions and resistance fighters, Nour Jarrar and Amjad Al-Azmi remain detained by the occupation forces, preventing them from having a proper burial.
Glory to the martyrs.
