If one where to think that Trump where the lesser of two evils would you discourage them from voting Libertarian?

For most people a vote for Trump or Biden is actually a wasted vote. Most states are solidly Blue or Red so voting R/D won't change anything. It is far more likely that your single vote for a new Party's candidate will get them over the threshold to maintain ballot access for the following election cycle, than your vote for an old Party's candidate will get them over the threshold to receive the plurality of the vote. Maintaining ballot access for new parties allows them to spend more money the next time actually getting out their message and building votes rather than having to spend most of it paying petitioners to get back on the ballot again. Eventually this could lead to a more representative multi-party system in the USA. But treating every election as "the most important election of our lifetime" and refusing to vote for a candidate that more closely represents your values rather than the one more likely to beat the candidate you dislike most, purpurates the system of abuse. Its like a person returning to their previous partner that verbally abuses them because they fear their partner that physically abuses them.

Gluttony itself is not a sin, hence why it's not in the 10 commandments, but its one of the 7 deadly sins because its practice has a tendency to lead one to enumerable sins.

Uhm, no because only the mentally ill wants to die, and most people don't want to kill anyone else

already exists. https://old.lemmy.ca I was surprised to learn how many different front ends my instance already had. I'm not sure what it takes to get it integrated on your instance

I don't understand how anyone can choose to watch 4K. maybe I'm just so cheap I tell myself I can not tell the difference, but anything higher than 480P just feels like overkill to sell more bandwidth and overpriced hardware.

I don't think minimum wage is intended to be enough to live on. If you start working as a teenager by the time you have to pay your living expenses it would be quite doubtful that you are still making minimum wage.

Then again, as they say, your milage may vary. In my part of the world there might as well be no minimum wage as even the most entry level positions are offering nearly double the minimum wage.

that's not true, there are multiple reasons one might like to, such as if you are interested in content that is blocked by one instance, particular if you want to access content on instance a and also content on instance b, and instance a blocks instance B, or vice versa.

you could want to have separate personalities, one that you discuss your expertise as a mechanic, and another that you use to talk about your expertise as a Furry.

You might want a sock account to argue with people without getting negative votes on your primary account, etc.

I really hope some of these are working on ensuring compatibility with both lemmy and kbin platforms. I expected they'd just work, because ActivityPub, as I assumed the backends where more alike than similar, but since kbin.social accounts don't seem to be able to login, I suspect there will be more work necessary than this end user thought.
