It's actually absurd how the Xiaomi SU7 can sell for the same price as a decent Camry.
What? You mean the US was lying?
- Gives weapons to group saying they'll exterminate Palestinians
- Group uses weapons to attack Palestinians
- Palestinian allies are upset about the situation
- Don't threaten me bro!
I guess this is classic troop rotation shenanigans?
Instead of rotating towards areas near Moscow, rotating towards St. Petersburg gives soldiers a break/training while pressuring Finland.
An American soldier received a three-year suspended sentence in South Korean court after he admitted molesting a 4-year-old girl at a playground.
Bonn pleaded guilty Oct. 16 to sexual assault based on allegations that he grabbed the girl’s hand and inserted his own hand into her pants, touching her genitals, at an apartment complex playground in Asan city in July.
At hearings during the 5-month case, Jeon said that Bonn had pictures of young, unidentified girls on his cellphone. Park Seon Ki, Bonn’s attorney, argued it was unclear whether the images were of underage girls.
Capitalism is when your government system slides into fascism but you still need to pay your bills 🤷
Developing nations need electricity and primary energy growth. They need it to pull people out of poverty, and guarantee basic human needs like food, water, shelter as well as basic human desires like education, employment, and transportation. Western countries should be using their immense economic power to make renewable sources of energy the more cost-effective solution. They're not.
China is on track to hit peak oil (this year) and peak coal (next year). This is due to their EV adoption rate (~40% and growing fast) and their solar panel installation rate (this year, more than the entire sum of all US solar panels). China dominates the supply chain: they make up more than half of all battery exports and more than 80% of all solar panels exports worldwide. In less than a decade, China has drove down the cost of EVs to parity with ICE vehicles ($10000/car) and drove down the cost of solar to be less than that of traditional fossil fuels.
The West could have done the same. Instead, we kept jacking off our O&G producers and giving them billions of dollars in subsidies while solidifying the advantage of established car and solar companies rather than driving innovation from competition.
The decades-long full privatisation of Australia’s employment services system has failed, according to a parliamentary review ordered by the Albanese government that has urged Labor to re-establish a commonwealth job agency and overhaul the mutual obligations regime.
I shouldn't need to say that not only natural gas bad, but oil also bad
