I definitely agree with your second point. And I find it ridiculous that a company can ever claim to "own" your genetic information. It's why I've never dared sign up for any kind of genetic ancestry sites. I can't give that personal of information away for free, let alone pay for it to be taken

For me, I respect female characters who are written strong but not mean or "buff". Your character doesn't need to be a dick or on steroids to be strong. A strong person can be kind and compassionate, just not capitulate under pressure. I also don't believe being "independent" means you can't love someone and lean on them in times of need, it just means you aren't defined by the relationship.

  • Bastila Shan from KOTOR
  • Mustang from Red Rising
  • Rita from Groundhog Day
  • Hermione from Harry Potter (if only JK respected ALL women)
  • Dottie from A League of Their Own
  • Mulan from Mulan
  • Ellie from The Last of Us Part 2
  • Freya from God of War

Yeah I personally actually prefer when programs conform to the OS UI as long as the UI is decent (cough Windows 8), it looks a lot more uniform and cohesive

I think AWD is widely unnecessary for most people in most climates. It is just an unnecessary feature to sell you a more expensive car.

I have lived in snowier climates my whole life and have also driven 2WD vehicles the entire time. I have only gotten stuck once, and I know that for a fact because I remember it being surprising that it had never happened before. You really don't need it if you just drive carefully when conditions are suboptimal.

AWD gives you a false sense of invincibility as well. It's important to keep in mind that "all wheel drive" does not mean better stopping. If you're going to stop, more wheels with power doesn't help. And in terms of dangerous situations, it's usually the lack of stopping that's the problem, not the lack of going.

There are also issues with fuel efficiency to consider. AWD vehicles generally get lower fuel efficiency compared to 2WD versions of the same car.

Overall, no, you really shouldn't get AWD unless you really need the feature.

The whole thing looks suspicious to me - there are no images of the game, broken English everywhere, tons of contributors but only one open issue. The repo is just odd in a lot of ways and is sending out bad vibes.

Also, the Android instructions make no sense, since there's no APK in the releases. Unless they somehow bundle that in the source code or Linux zip.

That's a reasonable take, for sure, and it makes a lot of sense.

However, it is a bit of a rationalization to explain to yourself why you support her. It is analogous to not voting because you don't think you'll sway the election, that your vote doesn't matter, in the sense that if enough people do it it does begin to have an impact.

Also, it isn't about not giving her a lavish lifestyle, it is more about sending a message that her brand of hate isn't welcome or tolerated. While she will make millions off of investments, if she sees that her bottom line was hurt because of her words she may, ideally, re-think them. Perhaps reflect on them, in a perfect world.

Admittedly, in reality she probably will only dig in deeper and feel victimized. But at least I'll sleep better at night

I have been using FlorisBoard for a while now, and had no idea about Heliboard! I saw the rename but didn't really pay any mind to what the app was. I liked Florisboard well enough but it was laggy and unresponsive with no predictions, so I made a ton of typos

Will definitely be giving Heliboard a run

For a shorter read I'd recommend Station Eleven. It's only 200 pages but is a really interesting story and makes me feel grateful for all that I have (including the ability to send this message)

Basic summary: Global pandemic but the mortality rate is 99% and you usually die within hours of showing symptoms. The plot grapples with the loss of modern life and what could remain once it all comes crumbling down.

No you're totally right, they don't have to be! I just saw an opportunity to spread some information and took the chance!

This, to me, was the most noteworthy part of the whole event! One of them has to be at least a little two faced and not believe what they "stand for". Boebert has a reputation that is just irreconcilable with Democrat values. I'm all for getting along but this is such an extreme belief difference, how is it not an issue!
