I guess it’s all a matter of cultural conditioning but growing up in Scandinavia this kind of rhetoric was always associated with right-wingers and other liberals whereas “both sides” was more common for progressives and leftists. The most common I saw was the one-persons-terrorist-is-another-persons-freedom-fighter.
In other words you are instant banning those who deny the genocidal anti-Semitic progroms in the Levant which began in no later than the 1880’s? Fascism and supremacism should be fought in all its forms, whether Germanic, White American or Arab.
Those weren’t the first. The first modern attempt at organized expulsion of Jews were in the 1880’s. And it was quite gruesome.
I guess this means it’s fan service and doesn’t intend to tell the stories to a new audience which is fair
Reddit tier comment.
Twitter is no worse today than five years ago. But it’s certainly also no better. The discussion about which billionaires we want manipulating public discourse is outright insanity
Most of the time this exact meme is reposted by a red fascist zealot though
You’d find a lot of Scandinavians wanting this lmao
Not really. It isn’t as good as Far Harbor aeven though the world building is better and more interesting. Of course it’s way worse than Dragonborn. But it’s definitely better than Nuka World and Automaton. And also better than the Pitt and Mothership Zeta even though it’s difficult to make comparisons with Fallout 3
And today the front page is still being used to push fanatical American extremism, just in a different guise. American progressives are just alternative Trumpists. It’s horrifying
Wait what. Right wing presence was gradually purged from 2016 onwards. The main change that period is the site having become a hyper American left-wing echo chamber. And the American part is important since leftism in other traditions tend to turn eyes at American progressives
Interesting. I guess it’s about cultural conditioning. Growing up in Scandinavia the “both sides” and subjectivist approach was more common for leftists. Especially the “your terrorist is my freedom fighter”. In contrast rightists and liberals usually insisted on exactly this two-plus-two-is-four rhetoric. As analyzing American discourse from the outside I’m still not sure if the right wingers of my Nordic childhood was right anyway, or if American leftism has regressed horrendously
