Understandable. You can still find other laptops second hand and cheaper, that are upgradable. I think the market of used windows laptops is even bigger than the apple one. At the end of the day, it's your money. Do what you please pf course :)

It's not hatred, but I grew up in a 3rd world country where computer teaching didn't exist until I got to college, and even then, it was one 30 minutes class a week. I didn't even know many shortcuts and key combinations until I got to the US back in 2010. I'd never known that a shift key would do such things. All I knew was capslock is to make letters caps. I guess my brain was wired differently in this regard. I'm 42 now and I'm still catching up on a lot of things I've missed out on in my young days. I've just now gotten a job as a programmer literally 2 weeks ago (the irony of not knowing how to use the shift key, right?) I'm still learning about computers. I started using Linux back in 2018 and I'm still learning about it. Thanks to Linux, my learning process has been sped up a lot. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk, and I hope that that answers your question. Lol

How do I disable it? That link doesn't show where to disable it. It just did it again and it's driving my fucking insane. I literally didn't do anything. I just locked my PC from the menu and went back to it to wake it up. I need this off my PC :/

Omg, thank you for this one. That's why I love Firefox.

Ok, that makes more sense now. Still too much money for gas. Damn

No worries. I'll look into it and submit a a report on GitHub for the dev if they have one.

Kde is my daily driver. Has been for 6 years now. I try gnome here and there just to see how it's progressing. It sucked badly on a 14" laptop with 1440 screen I have. So glad scaling is fixed now

Switched to this Exec=steam -forcedesktopscaling 2 %U and it still didn't work. Changed a couple of things there and still nothing. Damn, this is so annoying. Guess I will need to just do it through the terminal and call it a day

Changed Exec=/usr/bin/steam-runtime %U to Exec=usr/bin/env GDK_SCALE=2 and still nothing changed

Damn, this makes me think that it's an issue with Dell monitors when connected through DP. I have a similar issue with my monitors on kde where my dell monitor goes into a 1024x768 resolution after a suspend. My other monitor is fine, but it is not dell. So, even if I check the resolutions list, it's not there anymore 3840x2160 I'd have to reboot then it'll show up. I wonder if an update somewhere messed with Dell monitors.

Multiple drives on Linux are a different ballgame than other OSs. And I JUST found that out. Lol. I hope this video helps. Give it a watch and see.
