An eligible voter who is denied voting for any reason is every bit as bad as a fraudulent vote. CMV.
I just checked, and the company website page on my relatively high end carbon bike has a listed max weight (rider+bike+equipment) of 120kg. Easy enough to find on the page.
That said...were I close to that limit, I think I'd opt for a steel bike, or maybe titanium if I have the money. Carbon is amazing but its failure mechanism isn't pretty.
I'd love to see something like ballot included in tax returns (for folks who don't otherwise request a ballot). Near-mandatory voting, with abstaining being allowed.
I think in a developed nation, "veganism" almost always connotes some amount of health consciousness, which can be expensive. Different, I imagine, in rice-and-lentils developing parts of the world.
AFAIK Oreos, sour patch kids, taco bell bean burritos, and ~~McD's French fries~~ are vegan...but they're not associated with "vegan culture."
Edit: strike through fries
It's a terror not knowing what this, uh, song is about...looking for someone to help me out...with the lyrics I mean.
Then there's the pitcher plant that isn't really carnivorous, but relies on excrement...it's not so much a pitcher as a toilet: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepenthes_lowii
Does gnome-screenshot work without DISPLAY

There's a certain irony in bemoaning subscription news paywalls on an article about the alternative, unsavory monetization paradigm...
We've switched to solid shampoo
only drawback is it can be harder to tell which is shampoo and which is conditioner, because there's no single-use plastic telling me which is which.
Wasn't there a Steve Jobs interview where they asked what the iPad is for right after its release, and he did that Steve Jobs smirk and kind of said, "I don't know, we'll just wait and see how people use these"?
I feel like it's a similar approach here. The iPad certainly didn't displace all laptops, but I think it's considered to be a success.
You're probably right, but there are reasons why one might list a nominal price, but not actually collect payment.
I've listed things on Craiglist for a small price but not collected the money. With free items, "buyers" can be more flaky, and I don't want to deal with that
but by placing a small price, people seemed better at showing up to pick stuff up on time, etc. So, list a price, and then reverse bait and switch when they arrive to pick up item and give it away.
For these, I could imagine wanting them to go to a good home. With no price, you may get frat house pranks, etc., so a small price gets people who are actually interested.
Or...yeah, you're probably right.
Maybe don't use body shaming terms though? That's just lazy, and it's mean to other people, not just the target of the insult.
