I hope Bungie realized that if they make another free to play shooter that it will cut into the profits of their other free to play shooter.

People who still play Destiny2 are like people who drink Hennessy. "When a mfka drink Hennessy all he drink is Hennessy" - Kat Williams

Maybe they can try something smaller, more original, and riskier and see if people will buy that. Shorter development time, tighter budget, minimize the scope of the first title and see what people will buy. Leverage the fact that you have all this game tech, expertise, and capital and make three smaller projects that do not compete against the core product directly and come to market quickly.

How unremarkable

Im pretty sure this method utilizes RDP. I'm thinking about getting an Intel ARC380 GPU for PCI-E pass through to a windows VM and doing the same thing. I've tested this with an Nvidia Tesla k80 (though it's not a very practical card to have on a desktop). You should be able to get enhanced performance out of the VM if you enforce video encoding on GPU via group policy.

The only downsides are :

  1. passing certain peripherals through RDP fails on Linux from my experience (for example, USB DAC, Xbox 360 USB controller). Your mileage may vary.
  2. absolute mouse position doesn't work over RDP so don't try this with any games that need a mouse for camera control (fps) it simply won't work. If you want to game, lookingglass would probably be better for that but I haven't tested that yet.

Time to invest in some foreign VPNs.

Rem4 has the energy of a movie that was made because James Cameron walked into Capcom main offices, met with the presidents, stood in front of a whiteboard and wrote "Resident Evil$" making sure the s was notably a big red dollar sign $. Everyone applauded and then they made whatever the hell they wanted.

and I love that about it.

(Note: this is basically how we got the move Aliens 1986)

Probably not but you can buy digital signage. You will pay upwards of $4k potentially based on your needs.

Nintendo doesn't care. They stay in their lane and they are strategic about each move.

I remember hearing about pretty terrible corporate culture as they demand obedience and swear you to secrecy. I think I remember some guy mentioned he worked at Nintendo on a podcast and they instantly fired him to make a point.

What Nintendo does care about is knockoffs. At their core they are toymakers who make collectibles. What is a knockoff? Anything that Nintendo deems so.

I wonder if you could astro turf the hell out of this. Go deeper. Make it fun!

Make a fake identity for your company's parent company that parodies this guy https://gerritlansing.org/about-2/. Hire an actor on fiver to be red white and blue all over, set up your secret island bank accounts in the Seychelles and then go full Kojima mode lalilulelo, metal gear?! nanomachies?! etc etc.

It could be self funding ARG that protects its "fraud" as an artistic work. Qanons would eat it up.
