150 million is nothing for what Linus has control over. That's like the combined net worth of 100 of the top paid strippers in Vegas. (I'm going by vice documentary numbers)

Once Nvidia works with Gamescope, I think it will be high time to move the rest of my gaming PCs over to Bazzite. I hope these changes are getting us over to that reality.

It's not a single game. It's a whole new piece of software. They decided to make three games on the same Engine to streamline production but it's not an hd remaster of an old game. They are brand new games.

I can understand the perception that it should be one game because it's the story from an old game that has been split up. However if you play it, you'll find out pretty quickly it's actually a whole new story.

There are plenty of cash grab titles out there but I don't think this is the cash grab I think you make it out to be.

Everybody who plays videogames has had this experience

Pay 70$ for a game:

  • it's digital only
  • comes loaded with Micro transactions
  • grinding mechanics that have a pay to skip function
  • single player campaign: 13 hours
  • buggy and unfinished glitches and freezes
  • PC port locked at 30fps, runs Denuvo.
  • gets removed from my library in a few years because "It's too expensive to maintain and licensing reasons"

"I'm never getting ripped off like this again"

STUDIO executive "I wonder why no one wants to buy these games... Must be the price."

Depends on the usage. That's the gamble you take. I would maybe buy three and put two in a mirror and keep the third one as a replacement?

That's 240$ for three drives without warranty though... Nevermind I'd prefer to buy two new Toshiba X300 new for 210$ a piece and forget the headache and get the warranty.

Sometimes you get what you pay for ... Sometimes

Wouldn't it be cool if you could store Flatpaked/appimage games on a USB drive indefinitely so then you could plug it into another machine and simply launch the game from it?

You know, like a video game console!

That italicized "mildly" just resonated with me a little too much.
