I wanted a cheap TV. To me it’s just a display. It’s been over a year and it’s never been connected to the Internet and it’s never bugged me about it.

My daughter is in her 20s and will go out to the climbing gym at 8pm or later some nights.

I asked this question a year ago, and was advised to buy a TV and never connect it to my network. That worked fine for me... But, one person told me they bought a TV that would not function until it was connected to their network to run "updates" so he took it back to the store and got a replacement. The replacement did the same thing so he took that back too. (I think he eventually got one that just "worked" out of the box without requiring an update just to work.

I've been following a lot of PICO-8 game developers lately (on Mastodon and Discord) and I love seeing all the cool stuff they are doing.

I collect photos of sidewalk stamps and try to find as many years (and weird, different, unique stamps) that I can.

There's always a risk when getting anesthesia, but I've had it a few times for minor procedures and it's been "fall asleep, things happen, wake up groggy, back to normal after a while" for me.

Mass shooting are extremely rare? They are almost a daily occurrence... https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting

I don't think my parents or grandparents had to "grind" for the American Dream™. They could afford a house, a car, and raise a family all on one full-time job 50 years ago.

I've lived in the US for over 50 years and yes, in many ways it's really shitty here. I look at how other countries function and wonder why we can't do the same thing. The US is "supposedly" the greatest country in the world and yet, there is so much wrong with it.

Granted, there are good things too (depending on where you live and your status, of course.)
