yep, having that under control of one corporation is unacceptable. Imagine if some corporation owned pyramids or caves full of paintings by first humans to such extent they could grind it all to gravel if they wanted. Right now they are preventing fair use of the content too, by forbidding downloads of the videos.
Google has way too much control anyway, since google account has become too important for many people and getting it suspended would mean catastrophe to such individual.

I have thought about this too, though more in terms of selling it as a service. In my opinion, linux could be the best option for people who cant use computer since we can just make it easy to use for them, that isnt possible with mac or windows since they are so locked down and we just have to make due with what some corporate idiot decided.
Maybe its easier to start by making EVERYTHING forbidden and allowing things that are needed. Then also make somekind of backup system for things that might get ruined so it can be easily restored. Also hide everything from that account that isnt necessary to see. I cant say i'm expert regarding linux though, this is just something i would try starting with.

I should setup a trash phone for all those spyware applications, maybe add all kinds of neat information there for them to steal too. It would be so much bother though as I would also have to get prepaid creditcard or something like that should I want to actually buy anything. I wonder if anything like that even exists. Maybe then I could use those stupid electric scooters lying all around, though I kind of dont want to even touch them since they most likely never get disinfected and are touched by hundreds every week or day.

those who go to those bunkers might have a chance to survive and essentially be what will be left of humans if it gets so bad surface becomes completely hostile for life. If its those fucking shits that are partly responsible for all this, they will make humanity into mockery of what its now. But its also likely they just made "luxury bunkers" that are nice to live in but that cant actually support people as long as its needed.
to vast majority of people this is unthinkable. They will also likely just not even notice news like this because they dont pay attention to such things and likely dont even care about their personal info until something bad happens to them because of that.
