They will trigger a laser alarm though. Depends what type of fire alarm you have. I have a laser alarm in my house and if I open the bathroom door too quick after a shower the steam can even trigger it.

Possibly all of the above. If I were in her shoes I'd have probably taken the deal as well. Guaranteed all-expenses scholarship in your chosen field, followed afterward by a train of effectively infinite money coupled with political power? And in return she just has to give this old man the occasional shag? It's honestly not a bad deal.

Make no mistake though, she is a victim here. Even if she may have profited off it the fact remains that she was groomed by a middle aged man while in high school and was extremely likely coerced into this relationship, either by offers or by threats or most likely some combination of both. A Faustian deal was struck here, where the opportunity for a regular loving family was given up in exchange for power, but it's not clear to me how much choice was given to her in this deal.

Truly it boggles the mind.

Proving, once again, that conservative PACS are actually incapable of making a good investment if their literal careers depended on it. And this is supposed to be the """financially responsible""" wing of US government.

Rising is very very different to any other MGS game. Fair warning. I recommend every MGS game wholeheartedly, but don't play Rising and then pick up Snake Eater or MGSV expecting it to be more of the same.

It can legitimately be argued either way, which I think is fun. Obviously the play is from the point of view of Hamlet, so we're expected to roll with the assumption that he's really really speaking with ghosts. But it could just as easily be stress induced delusions.

what AI outputs is what I think a majority of the people want anyways. They want an answer to something in most cases.

When I ask a question I want a correct answer, not one that is merely statistically likely. Using an AI and not fact checking it means you will never know if the answer given to your question is true. The AI tells you what it thinks you want to hear, not what it knows is true, because it doesn't know anything, it's a pattern matcher.

Another fun thing about that is that most folks who identify "red" or "right" actually aren't paying enough attention to know that. Go ask them, they think people like them make up 70% or more of the country. If they do try to activate their little civil war they are going to find themselves very quickly surrounded by folks who do not like them at all, as their expected 200-million strong army ends up actually only being 1.5 million people spread out over 30,000+ square miles. Watching the realization dawn on them might actually even be fun if it weren't a herald of Troubles for America.

It would also help if I were served ads that even attempt to approach the vicinity of my own interests. That is vanishingly rare.

The second one not only has a campaign, it's one of, possibly the single best campaign to be included in a first person shooter, ever. Short, but extremely memorable.

This is almost literally the plot of Elden Ring with minor changes
