Power only USBC cables are super against the standard and i don't think data only cables can exist at all?
That's a really good idea! So good in fact that that is actually what they did call it! https://www.usb.org/document-library/usb4r-specification-v20
How do you do inter-pod communication witg quadlet? I never figured that out with podman kube play and just moved back to staring conatiners and creating networks from a shell script
My problem is that the laptop keyboard has an ISO layout but my preferred layout is ANSI. So i am sort of forced to switch when i occasionally have to use the laptop without an external keyboard. Also the international us layout on windows is bad because " and ' are dead keys and there's no way to fix it without installing a third party keyboard layout.
Personally I've had issues with it not being possible for the battery icon to showing a percentage. And the keyboard layout resets to the first one every time you unlock.
Ah i see kde has fixed the issue where dropdowns had broken behavior when scrolling https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kirigami/-/commit/f6ca218607ff7e5d5066eb3224154c3256cb9516 this was my main blocker why i couldn't use it when i tried it around 2020. Maybe i could give it another try?
Sorry to ask but why is get/set facl not sufficient for acls on linux?
Huh they work great for me. Which Ladda did you get? I think there was some brown or like yellow ones or something that were made in china and weren't quite as good I think. Also the LADDA 1900 will have a longer lifetime than the LADDA 2450s. In the same way that Eneloop Pro have fewer recharge cycles than the normal Eneloops.
I love USB-C for charging and data and display. But it does not replace 3.5mm. Aside from the things mentioned so far in the comments here, a fundamental problem is that now headphones need DACs in them.
The engineering specification states that an analog headset shall not use a USB-C plug instead of a 3.5 mm plug. In other words, headsets with a USB-C plug should always support digital audio (and optionally the accessory mode)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB-C#Audio_Adapter_Accessory_Mode
That increases the cost of headphones and introduces a point of failure and makes things more complicated for the end user. It's just not worth it.
Yes being Hot-Swap was very important to me. All the ducky one 3's are hot-swappable right? I have some older mechanical keyboards but they are not hot swap. For example i have one with red switches and It's really not bad at all but I just don't use it because i don't love the switches. If it was hot-swap i could just try out some new switches on it instead of buying a new board.
Thanks for your advice! I always like to double check that I'm not buying a brand that is generally regarded as poor quality or something.
I always loved the design of the DSi but tge 3DS is up there too! The DSi is just a bit sleeker
