Something I pretty much never see pointed out is that we don't need billions of humans. Our governments keep encouraging us to have children, but they should be working to end the culture of pressuring people (especially women) into having children because they're somehow incomplete without them. There should be more programs offering access to birth control and family counseling services. This endless and meaningless growth is as harmful to us as it is to the rest of our planet.

It's fine if people come in to learn about it though, right? I think a lot of people like myself can't get diagnosed for various reasons, or maybe they just have a loved one who has ADHD. I think it's better to say that if you're going to be ableist about it, you can keep your mouth shut.

I really appreciate places like Subway and Taco Bell that just tell you up front they probably have cross-contamination on everything. Most places the workers don't even know what gluten is. When I explain, they think I should just say I don't want bread.

I love that it took that information and thought you must look like a BG3 character.

I like to think that that's actually her, trying to scam us out of money, and I feel a kind of vicarious pride for her as a woman who doesn't even have to touch a real dick to get paid, while the rest of us chumps are over here with our shitty jobs. Obviously the reality of the situation isn't great, but in my head she's a Robin Hood kind of folk hero.

I don't understand your stance. Being vegan is more ethical, but eating meat is necessary? Surely if meat is necessary then an omnivorous diet is most ethical?

You don't need to be unaware of or even dislike a thing to think a particular joke is bad.

I would like to understand what you're saying better. I assume the original OP was a thread about sports (though honestly I have no idea). Given that context, how should someone in OP's position behave/respond (if at all) to the posts about trans women in sports?

I understand the sentiment behind wanting to protect someone from themselves, but I don't think society has the right to override the rights of others for their own good. We don't lock up obese people or alcoholics or ban anyone from risky adventures. I think if you want to help people you must do so on their terms and with their consent.

I think the trans women who are passionate about their sport disagree with you. Why would you just be okay with letting someone literally lose their hobby or even career over their gender? It's dehumanizing.

I don't see what harm this conversation has. People who aren't terrible will be better educated and people who are terrible weren't trans allies in the first place. What have we lost?

Frankly they can call me a biological male all day if they want to deliver some hormones to a girl who needs them.

You know they're going to stop that, right? They're not going to allow people to transition at all if they get their way.

I think they mean on mobile as opposed to PC. I can't find any option besides the dashboard-style homepage offered by default. I can customize it, but I can't make it a specific URL.

Moby Dick is good in a way where I don't care about any of the characters or the story, but I could read Melville describe water or argue that dolphins are fish for the rest of my life, just because of how beautifully he does it.
