Interesting, also ADHD but for me it's the opposite. I can get in a deep state of hyperfocus doing computer stuff and I mostly forget the world around me exists. Which of course is not ideal either lol.

Maybe sending people like you back to level it out could work?

I never said anything about Onyx, I don't own one but have considered them. They look nice and open.

I do own a couple of Kobo devices though and just wanted to say it's not running Android of any kind but it's still relatively open. Especially compared to phones, tablets and Kindle. The firmware/OS point you're trying to make is irrelevant there and I think you know it :)

We use a CI pipeline check which prevents merges to master if the code contains a TODO. A precommit hook only works if the developer has the hooks configured.

Thanks for elaborating! I don't use search engines for political/news related queries so I guess that's why I never noticed (or it's so effective that I just accept it as the truth of course...). Either way, I agree that's bad and I hope it's not an issue with Kagi.

Perhaps a repurposed garden hose on a spool could work. I recently saw a pretty long one on sale on amazon and they sell extensions. As long as we're making stuff up I feel like this should work nicely ;-)

Oh I definitely agree. But still; when I'm running Windows the filesystem is very low on my list of annoyances.

You'd need a way to run HomeAssistant and some interface to talk Zigbee, like the Conbee 2 or the SkyConnect mentioned here. I was looking into purchasing the SkyConnect last week after hearing about this Philips Hue crap but am not convinced it's the way to go, I found several reports of reduced range with SkyConnect compared to the Conbee. See for example https://community.home-assistant.io/t/conbee-ii-vs-skyconnect-performance/545759/2 or https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/86231. Personally waiting a bit before I purchase either option as I have a hub that works now, but leaning towards the Conbee2 at the moment.

There was some talk on Discord about making the pricing regional, no idea on timeline though. But it does not sound reasonable if that's half a monthly entry salary for you!

Perhap we should focus on cleaning up earth first :-)

Plan a day where some of the guys come in skirts. Bonus points if they are a bit too short. You'll see how quick they change that dresscode. Employers are not allowed (at least where I live in EU) to have such dresscodes based on gender, that's discrimination.. we were planning to do it at the place where I work a couple years ago but when management heard about it they changed the policy.
