Musk is an ass, but this is a complex issue that goes way beyond Australia. Many govts are censoring content on social media within their countries. The last thing they need is precedent allowing them to remove videos from a platform entirely worldwide.

I'd like to see what justifications the pro-Israeli camp comes up with for this one.

with what little i kno of haiti, i would assume the power figures in haiti government are just as corrupt as those everywhere else and that removing their corrupt hold wouldn’t be a bad thing

The guy is a former member of a govt kill squad who got expelled for excessive violence and brutality. That should tell you something about him. There are worse things than corruption in govt.

Honestly I don't understand the problem here. Poverty is a class issue, not a race issue. Who cares what somebody's skin colour is if they need help?

Edit: Apparently calling out racism is controversial in US subs 🤷

Here's the actual news release without the clickbait farm. https://www.media.mit.edu/projects/alterego/overview/

Press X to doubt, though. It's probably nowhere near as accurate or adaptable as MIT implies. University PR depts are infamous for blowing hot air.

Edit: It's from 2019. It's definitely hot air

Sees title, checks modlog... like, wtf. You had a comment removed because you were cursing others. No ban, nothing, just a comment removal. Talk about an overreaction.

This post would have made more sense if you had opened by explaining you suffered from PGAD, rather than burying the info way down.

You're not really refuting the point though. It's not that 'Chinese people are untrustworthy'. It's 'Immigrants from China are vulnerable to blackmail and extortion by the CCP'.
