Maybe we can get ICP on board

Not necessarily, more like

"The attempt at avant-garde cinematography really shows how far this director has fallen from their pedestal" -DavidLikesCheese99

Basically it seems like if the review isn't purposefully constructed it's just snippy one liners against the movie. This is just my experience from Rotten Tomatoes and whatever else Plex uses to show ratings. Sometimes they're decent blurbs, other times it's like k thanks for that opinion I'll form my own now

QoS has a bunch of awesome albums after Songs for the Deaf. Unless we're talking about popularity, but quality def not.

Because the nation gets ~40% of crude oil from Texas and oil companies can't miss out on that

I hope the steam controller to be that. The CAD files are online, it only has a few points to potentially stop working that for the most part can be repaired, it's replaceable AA batteries...

The downside is that replacement parts for the trackpads are probably not easy to find (I haven't looked), and of course finding one in the first place for not a ridiculous amount of money is hard pressed. I think you can buy a flashed dongle that will work with it, otherwise you need it Bluetooth/USB. Some don't like the not-real D-Pad but when it's set to touch-active instead of click active it's pretty nice. I do like it for fighting games, but since it's only 500hz polling rate it's not a competitive option. I have played Melee on it though and I did fine after the adjustment.

Everything else though is pretty much replaceable, I just replaced my fading thumb sticks for some 8bitdo ones and now they match the Steam Deck, I'm pretty sure the analog stick box is able to be replaced as same with the button pads. Bumpers are also fixable.

IMO it's just the best. I still have my Nov 2015 launch Steam Controller with the Aperture skin and it's had hundreds of falls on wood floors. People talk about how the RB is super fragile and the most consistent break point - and it must be since that seemed somewhat common, but I have 4 and I play Monster Hunter. The RB button is my lifeblood, between that game and the controller drops you'd think mine would be shattered to a billion pieces, but no it still works perfectly.

I'm not sure if it's on sale but I'll just keep talking about Revita because it's such a succinct rogue like that blends hollow knight and TBOI very well.

If you're good enough, Vanquish.

I'm not them but -

Forum style posts =\= reddit.

Short text style posts =\= twitter.

Just because lemmy is a forum style alternative to Reddit does not mean we should call it a reddit-like.

Just because mastodon is a short text style post alternative to Twitter does not mean we should call it a twitter-like.

It would be like saying reddit is a gameFAQs-like, but for more than just games. Is it inaccurate? Not exactly, but they are their own things. Related/inspired from each other, but so is basically everything that exists from art to practicality.

I think in this case, yes Lemmy was made as an alternative to the forum-image style posting that Reddit is now known for. However, lemmy and mastodon are far beyond that now too due to how it interfaces with ActivityPub (each instance being able to have its own community of the same name). It's created enough separation that it almost seems inaccurate now to entirely call these a "-like" alternative.

It's a fine line between information between smug comments and expected internet room meme banter.

I just want to learn without being judged and there's always a place for funny comments with some nuance. I don't want to be talked down on for not "knowing it the right way" or only see callback comments to that one funny thing 7 years ago, y'know?

There may be sorting options but it's not one that I use so unfortunately I'm not sure of anything else about it. Glad to be of some help though!
