So…? 🤷‍♀️

There’s even a website that translates it for you: https://www.composerize.com/

Hopefully, this kind of shenanigan should sound dangerously familiar.

Ah, no worries, Europe is right behind you! The UK has completely fallen off the cliff and is a full blown kleptocracy, Hungary already has an openly fascist Government, and in Germany the Nazi party is currently clocking in at 20%+ in opinion polls, which would make them the 2nd strongest party in the next election. Yay! 🥳

The argument was not whether fixed cost exceed the variable cost or vice versa.

The argument was that a lot of people severely underestimate the actual cost of any given trip because they only account for (a subset of) the variable costs (i.e. gas).

And it’s true. Rarely anyone does full costing when it comes to cars because „the fixed cost are there no matter how much you drive“.

That's why I wrote "the vast majority"??

And hundreds of miles, before you throw away a pair of shoes, my... Look, that might mean much to a Northern American who drives everywhere.

"Hundreds of miles" is what I actually run each year, and then I get lots of hiking and just walking around on top of that. I guess I can measure my Redwings and Hanwag in tens of thousands kilometers each, and my Lundhags I could pass down if I had kids.

Nah, a scythe is not tedious. I mean, if you consider it a chore, sure, then it is. Everything is.

But once you got a proper rhythm and a smooth motion, it’s really a relaxing, meditative thing. Also great workout: https://youtube.com/watch?v=OeMxwt6MC3Y

Beats sitting on a screaming hell machine by a long stretch.

But here you’d also want to get a handmade fitted one, not the one from home depot. In Central Europe that’s not too hard, don’t know about US for example.

Manual lawnmowers only work for lawn though, anything high and/or weedy they can’t do.

That’s not what’s happening here. I have used a script (not this one), it went through all my comments, overwrote them, and I checked my reddit profile and it was all gone.

Then, several days later, some comments were back again.

I ran the script again to delete those, and again reddit showed me that, in fact, they were gone. Only to have some of them reappear later… I think I ran that script about four times.

Now, I’m not saying this is intentional, because there was no rhyme nor reason which ones, though all of them were older and older every time I ran the script. I guess something in the backend of reddit isn’t working as intended, but it is, as a matter of fact, reddit who has copies of your comments and edits and reinstates them.
