Amazing how referring to people by their perceived flaws can be offensive

I mean, isn't this common sense? If you work for me and bring me some sub-par work, I can call you a fucking retard, and you'll probably be offended. On the other hand, if I pull you aside and say that usually you do excellent work, but I'm not liking this, and here's a couple ideas to improve your work, you might look upon that more fondly.

In both scenarios, I'm communicating that I'm not happy with you and/or your work, but one is likely to lead to an HR incident and one isn't. How is this "woke"? (I fucking hate that term, because it tends to be use as shorthand for "stuff I don't like", but no two people seem to share definition beyond that)

Couldn't happen to anyone that doesn't masturbate on their lunch break.

I don’t know what the appropriate response is. Empathy is hard.

Sorry, my tank is empty from the constant bullshit during COVID. Can't wear a mask to help prevent the immunocomprised? Well, here's your FREEDOM. It's finally here. I hope they get what they were wishing for. All those red states wishing us ill while the blue states supported them with our tax dollars. No more! Don't wan't FEMA? Wish granted! Good luck on those hurricanes!

Time has been kind to Mr. Jobs. Read about his early years at Apple... he was famous for skewering anyone that disagreed with him. He also had lovely habits like parking his sports car in handicapped spots so he didn't have to walk as far. You can't disagree with his talent for running a company that did an awful lot of innovation, but he wasn't a nice guy. He named one of his first products, the Lisa after his daughter, but didn't treat the actual daughter that well.

Now that it's no longer trendy and doesn't lead to increased revenue they dropped it like a rock. They didn't do this because they believed in fairness. They did it so they could post a little press release on their site and get people to think they care (and then spend more at Walmart). Apparently there is no more direct line from their DEI programs to profit, so they are gone in one second. Just goes to show you they have no loyalty to fairness, only to their own wallet. Expecting a large corporation like this to have a heart is a mistake. They only have one interest and now it's plain to see.

The US is so inept at manufacturing, yet wants to fight China. We can pretend to punish them, but 98% of all products bought and sold in the USA are "Made In China".

Verdict delivered,
Donald Trump guilty on all 34;
Consequences loom.

$130,000 hidden,
Stormy Daniels silenced then;
A hush money plot.

"Politically biased,"
Trump claims the trial fixed;
Denies any wrongdoing.

Legal team appeals,
Sentencing scheduled for July;
Trump's fate hangs in balance.

136 years possible,
Yet, will justice be served?
The world watches and wonders.

Wouldn't that count as political?

I guess they really were full of shit.

Microsoft has been discussing the idea of Windows as a service, but the company hasn't really explained exactly how that will play out with future versions of Windows. That might be because there won't really be any future major versions of Windows in the foreseeable future. Microsoft has altered the way it engineers and delivers Windows, and the initial result is Windows 10. Instead of big releases, there will be regular improvements and updates. Part of this is achieved by splitting up operating system components like the Start Menu and built-in apps to be separate parts that can be updated independently to the entire Windows core operating system. It's a big undertaking, but it's something Microsoft has been actively working on for Windows 10 to ensure it spans across multiple device types.

How do you think polling works? If you had to "ask everyone" to have data, we wouldn't have any...
