That was fascinating to read about. History doesn't repeat but it sure as shit rhymes.
So many "why two Es" comments meanwhile I'm sitting here pondering where the TH went. Maybe just on the ends? Or backwards? But that would break the continuous black line. Probably not worth this much thought.
Well according to Chief Cheeto, that doesn't matter because the USA "doesn't use it" 🤦♂️
But then how are you supposed to know when to laugh?!?! ^/s^
I've got no qualms with killing and eating something, I make an effort to dispatch those animals as quickly and humanely as possible, thus the question.
So does this mean stab the lobsters or don't stab the lobsters? I was raised on the NE shore and have cooked hundreds of lobsters, I used to do the trick of putting them face down and stroking the spine, that would work ok but they wake up when you move them to the pot. I started stabbing the lobsters a few summers ago after a chef I worked with told me I should be, but I wasn't convinced it was a lot more humane and it's not fun if there's kids around lol.
He's a sociopath, no two ways about it. I remember a story his nephew told about bringing his developmentally disabled son (can't remember the exact condition) to the White House and having multiple meetings with Trump about setting up a bill that would benefit Americans, including his own great-nephew. In one of those meetings, after it had all seemed positive, everyone left the room but Trump and his nephew, to whom Trump immediately said "be a lot easier and less expensive if all these disabled kids would just die".
That's fair I haven't been reading the whole comment thread. There's definitely plenty of meat on the meme bone for jokes about the ugliness of the maga aesthetic without it degrading into misogyny, but it's too bad people are acting that way.
His ego is his only compass, and he has tied the stock market to his ego. War and Hormuz being closed will hit the stock market. He may well want to back down when that happens, and find himself unable to.
Surely this will have no negative long term consequences....
Also half of Americans live in "food deserts" with limited or no options for fresh, healthy food/groceries. Often their only sources of sustenance are the dollar store and fast food.
