Absolutely. Thanks for spreading the word. I feel like not enough people know about it (or the real reasons for the shutdown, ugh.) I'm really worried about it. My family and I (disabled & unable to work) rely on them. I hope the shutdown crap gets figured out (in a decent way) and SNAP will be back soon, but I don't know... I don't know what I or countless other people will do. The food banks here are already overrun and can't keep up - that's before food stamps being cut off. 😬 I was already super struggling before this. I'm stressing!
I agree that it easily could be real! My cat does the same thing with used socks, drinking straws she steals from our drinks, (clean & unused) menstrual pads still in their packaging, those little bra padding inserts that go in camisoles and bathing suits, and, of course, toys. It's so fucking precious and I love it! I've found her secret stashes of them multiple times over the years, haha.

You may want to look up Mouser brand cat food. If I remember correctly, it was created by someone who had the same thoughts. I don't know how healthy it is or anything, but I think it's a neat idea...even though I feel bad for the poor little critters put into it.
