I love the way your character finishes boot camp by cheating in all possible ways.

This port, or re-implementation as it's called, has several improvements including:

  • wide-screen mode
  • smooth scrolling & movement mode with increased frame rate
  • quick saving
  • improved game controller support
  • extended modding features

A great way to (re)play this awesome game from before Duke jumped to the 3rd dimension!

Not everyone knows that id software made an FPS before their smash hit of Wolfenstein 3D. It's rough around the edges, but still an important part of history.

I remember playing this in the old days. Very open ended space strategy game with creative non-humanoid races and a deep skill tree.

I recommend this game for anyone looking for a DOS era strategy game.

Voxel Doom II releasing August 1st (www.gamingonlinux.com)

After the successful Voxel Doom the creator of that project is releasing voxel Doom II.

I cannot wait. Voxel doom worked so good, so doom 2 might be even more awesome!
